There is a CD from 2002 called Loading Ready Run

Postby Jenelmo » 08 Jul 2012, 03:15

Was doing a picture search on Google for Loading Ready Run, and one of the first pictures was from a Danish newspaper from 2002 about a band called "Press play on tape" and their CD called Loading Ready Run.

Was wondering if anybody ever had heard about them

For those who can read danish this is the article

It's like a parallel universe.

80s medley of them; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIdbyanVWk0

Shame they had to use projectors to make up for their awful stage presence.

Yes it has been brought up before but not for a few years. The crew is well aware of it.

I have listened to one of their tracks a few years ago and enjoyed it.

Wow, that is bizarre. I guess it shouldn't really be too surprising considering both are based on nostalgia for the popular Commodore 64 console, but that is indeed like looking at a parallel universe.

As I remember, they do a superb Monkey Island medley arrangement. Well worth a listen if you enjoy such things.

Somewhere in the forum archives is a thread about it.

They released the album before we launched but we didn't hear about them for years before someone found them.

We contacted each other and traded a DVD for a CD. No idea what happened to it... :(

And now the Press Play on Tape Album doesn't even show on the first page of Google results when you search "Loading Ready Run." ;)

Well LRR is too great to be shown through the medium of imagery alone.
