Tumblr Porn.

I'm annoyed that I find an image I like from a Tumblr site. I visit the site hoping to find a whole site dedicated to that type. And then I find the site is full of stuff which is horrifically much harder.

It's like, why are you so inconsistent with your porn?. Maybe they occasionally post soft-stuff to bait visitors in to drive up view counts.

I walked up to the desk this morning and the lady who walked up had a general manager name tag on, so I thought, this will either go really well or really badly.

I explained as calmly as I could after 12 hours driving and sharing a double bed with a very kicky 4 year old who woke up at 6AM. and she said "Well, then, thats strike three for her. Sir, let me extend our hotels sincerest apologies, she was correct that we didnt have the extended room available to you last night, and we dont have one today either, but we do have one of our suites available It doesnt have the two king beds however it has two bedrooms, one with a king and one with two twin beds and a living room that is larger than the extended room living area. I can put you in there and honor your $129 rate if you would be willing to forgive that rude former employee."

I was just posting the update in the same thread because I know some people only look in certain places and I wanted to say it had been appropriately resolved.

I know, I was just joking about how that seems like-

Actually, you know what, nevermind. Me and people obviously don't mesh today.

Anyway, it was awesome that the manager listened to you.

one of the bridesmaids, the grooms sister, sent her steak back 4 times at dinner tonight.

First time she sent it back (its raw!) the server said no problem
second time the manager brought it out (Without even taking it "NOW ITS BURNT")
third time she sent it back, the cook came out and said "Maam I am really trying here, How would you like this cooked" (medium!) "I consider medium to be a little red in the middle but hot all the way through, is that what you consider medium?" (NO THATS MEDIUM RARE!) "you would like no red in the middle but still a little moist on the outside?" (YES DAH)
fourth time the cook came out, "Is this to your liking maam?" (NO thats well done! dont you know how to cook?) I will try again maam Im sorry this isnt to your liking.
5th plate we are all already done eating and it is apparently correct.

Groom: "well they better not try to charge us for 4 steaks for you because they dont know how to cook"

There were 23 people in our party, 12 people got steaks, 8 people had no problems. Yeah Im sure it was the cook that was the problem.

As we were leaving I heard her complaining that there wasnt enough strawberry sauce on her cheese cake.

As I said, I am not pleased to have to make 24 hours of driving in a weekend for this wedding. You can expect another post tomorrow I am sure.

During a driving lesson I was beeped for "slowing" down by a van behind me.

Sorry van, a car was turning off in front of me. I'm sorry that you lack the eyes to see this.

*sigh* Get used to it - a surprising portion of drivers are narrow-sighted; they barely pay attention to anything beyond the limits of their automobile, and never more than a car-length away...even if it's a "road works/lane closes" sign ahead, or an ambulance with lights and sirens going behind...

Got two assignments due Monday that I haven't had any time to work on, as well as a midterm and some other marking to do.

Today is the only day I have to spend on these as basically all of tomorrow I have to go mess around with rat pups at school.

I'm supposed to be looking at grad programs but I don't have any time or energy for that either.

Today I woke up feeling nauseous but I still feel I should probably go check on the rats, which is an hour of work time I will lose. Whether I'll go or not is still up in the air as I'm sitting here trying not to throw up and if I move too much I might actually end up puking everywhere. But I also want to be a responsible student and prove this to my supervisor by checking on the rats.

On top of all this I won't have a Thanksgiving as my project runs through the holiday weekend and my injections start at 5:30 PM, a.k.a. dinner time. My boyfriend's mother was kind enough to invite me but even if she offered to move dinner so I could make it it wouldn't feel right that they (the actual family unit) would have to accommodate me, the girl who's been hanging around their younger son for about a year. I don't want to be anyone else's problem.

I really don't wanna puke right now.

It's October 5th. I live in Canada. It's exceedingly hot in my apartment, even with the fans blowing and the windows wide open. How come South Dakota got snow before us?

Even the mid-summer heat wave we had wasn't as hard to deal with as this heat. It's not fair. :(

Okay, I imagine you could classify this a First World Problem...from a different perspective, though, you could it as a GLOBAL PROBLEM:

This morning, I skimmed through YouTube, and while listening to some of my faves while doing something else, I tabbed back to YT to change things, and noticed in the 'recommended for you' stuff at the side a new "... Nice" video, from the people who did "Iowa Nice".

Yay! "Wrestling Nice" - cool, UofI has a big emphasis on NCAA wrestling, and I think the sport's cool, and Scott's pretty much the Sultan of Smack-talk...

...then I watched it, and I was quickly reminded that these guys only do one of these vids if there's a staggeringly stupid problem. Image

Fuck you, IOC.

Cast aside your sense of tradition, history and...ANY FUCKING SENSE AT ALL, why don't ya? Image

(and please don't try to placate me with the fact that Olympic Wrestling managed to win its chance at inclusion in 2020; the fact that arguably the MOST founding sport in the games is relegated to "Non-Core" status and has to compete with the likes of SQUASH, WAKEBOARDING and ROLLER SPORTS for INCLUSION is FAUX News-grade BULLSHIT!!!)

Job number two (my new job) has promised me shifts this week. This is good, shifts mean work, work means money. However, I could potentially be on tomorrow and I haven't been sent a schedule yet. Meanwhile, job number one is offering me a shift tomorrow, has been for two days, and I feel bad for delaying my response. Now, the obvious thing is to say "Screw job number two, these guys are offering me stuff straight up." But, job number two would be more hours, and, hence, more pay. It would also be more fun, as it is working in a haunted house where I get to dress up and scare children all day. Job number one also involves me getting up at 6AM, whereas job number two would let me get up at 10AM. Given that I won't get home till at least 11PM tonight due to my commitments to my play and an audition, that would be nice. I'm also missing my Sunday movie night at my favorite bar, which makes me sad.

To cap it off, I have to go back to Friday night. I was at a regular bar of mine, and I had just started chatting to a rather nice girl I met last week. We had gotten along fairly well, and I wanted to see if there was something there. So I sat down and started talking. Just as the conversation was getting going I had several gallons of water poured over my head. Apparently the resident of an apartment above the outside area of the bar didn't like the noise, and so decided to take matters in to their own hands, so they poured water over us guys having a good friday night. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, so I caught the brunt of it. I took it well, but needless to say, I was distracted, and for one reason and another I stopped talking to pretty girl and shouted at the upstairs window for a bit. And for various reasons we didn't end up picking up the conversation that evening. So when I got home I sent her a well-worded message asking her out via FB (I hate doing stuff like this, but I really want to ask her out and I don't have her phone number). And she hasn't responded and my mind is doing the "Did she get it? What's going on? Is she ignoring me? Don't be paranoid, it's probably something very simple... but what if it's not?" dialogue.

Spleesh.

Fuck Hulu. It used to be that there were 5 commercials in an hour show. Then, there were about 3 commercials in each of those 5 breaks. Now, I'm watching SNL and there are 5 one minute and half commercials during each break and there are 20 breaks. WTF. And, if I pay for it, I still get commercials?
