Ofcourse you plan the MASSIVE fucking shitton of work on the single day of the week you KNOW my collegue isn't in, and I have to do it alone. And then you get annoyed when I take a 5 minute break to get a drink after a solid hour of backbreaking work.

The guy who covered my mum when she was off work with cancer treatment and cancer was a cmat to her today.
They work in the same office as she gradually gets back to work and takes more and more days.
And he's a cmat to her.
She is getting her feet back on the ground after a hell of over a year and he's being a cmat.
She can phase him out by taking more days a week and he's being a cmat.

What the fuck is this man's problem?
How do I vent immense rage? I want to stab things.
Everyone at her work is a cmat to her.

And I shouldn't talk about it because it's confidential.

FUCK

Kind of a minor vent but still pissed. Every so often I get a little niggling feeling that something's wrong so I check out what's going on and every time without fail bad stuff happens at different extremes. This is one of those times, the less extreme ones that is.

It was my mate's birthday two days ago and we were supposed to be doing something tonight at 9 but I got this feeling around 8 that something was wrong and the night fucked up somehow. So I texted him asking if we were still on for tonight. No response. I texted another friend to see if he was going. No response. About 20 minutes later I call the second friend asking when he's leaving and he says "Did you not get the text? He moved it to Saturday".

It's nice to know that your friends care about you and that you won't be left on your own in the middle of town.

Oh good, I'm not the only person who is really confused.

Yeah, I had that problem in high school a lot. If they weren't changing/cancelling our plans without bothering to tell me, they were texting me about how "We're heading out the door right now!" and showing up almost two hours later (when they live a ten minutes drive away) because, "Well, we had to eat supper, then I had to get a shower, and I was watching my little brother so I had to wait for Mom to get home..."

I don't go anywhere with anyone anymore.

Funny story. My friend later texted me that he was in town, that he did move it to saturday and tonight he thought he'd go in anyway. Turns out my friends are just morons which really warrants more venting.

GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Oh, sweet zombie Jesus...hun? You owe me one monitor & keyboard clean-up; I sprayed bits of walnuts all over them after seeing those wonderful 'remixes'!!!

Actually, I've gotten more comfortable with it (though I still find myself rubbing my upper lip for the novelty). It does make me look about a decade younger (when I'm not haggard and just woken up ;) ).

A co-worker had a brilliant idea - keep shaving for the rest of the month, and grow back the 'stache for Movember and raise a little money for a good cause!

Then come December, who knows? Maybe keep it, maybe take it off again...

Anyways, this is getting decidedly non-venting, so I'll bring things back on track:

FUCKING CREEPERS! Skeletons are a nuisance with their archery, and Endermen are a pest, teleporting around and vandalizing any 'natural features' you might have, but those damn failed pigs are always sneaking up and blowing up, leaving ugly holes in the countryside (if not my important constructions{!}). I may be nimble enough to evade injury when they do sneak into 'hissing' range, but that still doesn't deal with the massive damage they bring to a Minecraft world. :(

The weather needs to decide whether it wants to be warm or cold. The scar tissue in my lungs like to act up when the temperature is changing, and it seems like it's been non-stop this season.

Also, student loans suck.

The state. After a freak blizzard knocks down nearly every electric line the the western part of the state. People were out of power for times ranging from a week and a half (me) to 4 weeks. With electric lines down in nearly every yard, and covered in snow the state felt that it was unsafe for children to be trick or treating. And this was after we were hit by a tornado, hurricane and earthquake.

This year the current hurricane (Sandy?) is heading directly for us with a suspected time to hit us of this Tuesday. Should it cause any real damage or alter it's speed then Halloween might very well be cancelled again.

Massachusetts? I remember the blizzard, hurricane, and tornado, but the earthquake escapes me. XD (And feel free to tell me to shove off if that's too personal) ...But I know. And I haven't looked at weather reports recently, but patrons at work keep darkly hinting at snow...

Yep, Massachusetts indeed. And the Earthquake was in Virginia or something like that but we felt it up here. And no snow. Snow is bad.

Oh, The Great D.C. Earthquake of 2011! Yeah, a) that was even felt up in Canada, and 2) it was notable by the amount derision it received:

Actually, while it was nice that there were neither deaths nor injuries were reported, 'we will rebuild' was a matter of $200-300 million in damages...of which $100 million was actually insured.

Nonetheless, here's hoping Sandy leaves ya be (and for that matter, everyone else - we've some nasty wind and rain up here today that knocked the power out for a couple of hours)
