Madman were always going to show up at PAX but I'm happy to hear Rooster Teeth will be coming. I hope they get a panel.

Re: PAX Australia
I'll admit: I'm really hoping for some better things to look forward to. And I'm sure I'll get them, but right now, the closest thing to 'excited' I am is for Half-Brick. That's a pretty low bar.

There was never any question of there being a meetup.

To expensive, I also don't get cons....
Re: PAX Australia
A random Trixy appears.
Dackwards_d and I are going. Only gonna be there for Sat and Sun but will be in Melbourne from Fri - Mon cause we haven't been there before. So if a meet is planned we try to get there. So I might just float around the forums to keep updated.

Re: PAX Australia
As it is unlikely that any of the LRR crew are going, I am going to take upon myself to organise the PAX AUS LRR meet up. As this Australia fifteen letters is too long so the meet so I will refer to it as PAL up.

Re: PAX Australia
What if there are 50 Runners and friends at PAX? I think a pub is a better bet.
I do not think we should try to set a date and time until the schedule is announced.

Re: PAX Australia
Not the Mana Bar, unless it's on the night before it begins. Seriously, that place will be constantly packed.
I'll see if I can find a good pub for us. Local input, of course, welcome.

The mana bar is usually pretty deserted. Also its shit.
Re: PAX Australia
Attention PAX Australia goers. As you know we at LRR won't be making it to Australia this year. We are hoping next year, but that's another story.
This past weekend we were at East and I drank the Pinny Arcade Kool-Aid and it was delicious. I'm hoping one of you wonderful people can pick me up the AUS exclusive pins. I of course will send you money to not only buy the pins but also pay to have them shipped back to Victoria.
Any takers?
Just email me [email protected]

Re: PAX Australia
PAX Australia is completely sold out.
Also, while you will be unable to play against the crew, I am sure other Runners at PAX will want to play Magic. Bring your Commander decks!

Darn. I should have thought in advance to get trades going. I've also been pin trading.
I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise. I have my own set to consider!

As an coincidence until recently Australia used the PAL television format.
Also coming up with clever names is an important skill for an scientist. I am part of a collaboration called SAGES and a member of project called SLUGGS. Part of SLUGGS was originally called SMEAGOL (an earlier survey was called SAURON). I use an instrument called DEIMOS. Other astronomy projects in Australia include TAIPAN, EMU, WALLABY, POSSUM, DINGO, GASKAP, FLASH, WiggleZ (and its simulation GiggleZ), HERMES, MALT and HOPS. There are plans in the United States for BigBOSS.

This almost makes me wish to be a scientist. So cool!
