The end of required weekly sketches, not necessarily sketches all together.

I've been tweeting with some of the developers for Penguemic: the educational game from the questions at the EC panel at Prime.

Their Kickstarter has only 9 days left, but they're only 63% funded. I've played the demo - this is a FUN game, and teaches vocabulary. Give it a look. :) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/202 ... n?ref=live

If you're a Magic person, you might have heard of Limited Resources. I'm currently listening to their set review. You may have also heard one of the people who take part in the podcast on the smash-hit breakout episode of Friday Nights: The Call. Well, it turns out they're doing a Kickstarter as well (Here). They've already hit their goal. But it doesn't hurt to check it out if you like them.

I'd like to second Kapol's recommendation to check out the Limited Resources podcast and Kickstarter. Marshall (who runs it) is a really great guy and the podcast is good listening. It's full of useful info for Magic players of all levels, and Marshall has a delightful, soothing voice. :)

I've been listening to his hosting of the Community Cup in the lab for the last week. Marshall has an utterly soothing voice.

Platoon of Power Squadron is a neat webseries about everyday 20-somethings with super powers. They have an overview video if you want to get a general gist of the show, seen here.

http://igg.me/at/pops8

They're doing an IndieGoGo campaign for ep. 8 and are aiming for 15,000 dollars. They've got four days left and they need to get about four thousand dollars more. Please donate what you can. I'd love to see this thing done and done right.

Mark de Clive Lowe's new project: I'm really diggin' this guy's music. Part improvised, part planned. Combines jazz elements with acoustic/electronic dance styles. And he does is LIVE. Quite a multitasker.

Indiegogo is fine, right?

I know this is a touchy subject, but hopefully I can just link this and it doesn't have to turn into a discussion about it? Let's give it a try: http://igg.me/at/AR-Wear

You are just so way more optimistic than me. I've created a spin-off thread for discussion.

Oh, sorry about that, I wasn't aware. (Unless you mean you created it after the fact?)

Either way, good call. Yeah, the discussion can go there, and more links can go here :)

No, I created it just for this. I'm not going to start the discussion and if nobody decides they want to, that's also valid (lord knows it's been had across god knows how many blogs) but I figure if you're going to link to something that divisive, you should expect a damn flame war.

EDIT: And if you object to this, go ahead and quote it in the OTHER thread.

Gary Schwartz started a Kickstarter unrelated to any of his video game voicing stuff. For $75, you can get the Heavy to record you a personal message. I'm probably going to go for that, but I don't know what I'll ask him to say.

Looks like only $50 for that to me. Did things get changed around?

My buddy Adam is starting a Indiegogo to make a puzzle book.

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/puzzle-primer-series-slitherlink-and-other-loop-puzzles

You might think you don't know Adam, but if you've seen King of Kong... you have seen him. He doesn't smoke, drink or do drugs. He plays video games. And, he makes puzzles.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbqJm2birME

Yes, that's my buddy Adam in the opening of that trailer. Adam is an expert of games of almost any description. I hope anyone who can who loves games can help support this.

My wife and I just backed this Edgar Allen Poe book; we're both big Poe fans, but she's the one who wrote a college thesis paper about all the people who get buried alive in his works. The art is pretty amazing, but then again it's kickstarter, there's amazing art everywhere.

This might not be everyone's thing but it's something I think is worth sharing. Check it out if you have an interest. If you do like it, it's worth knowing that the artist is doing an "ABCs of Poe" on Instagram, which is also worth checking out.

Important necrobump:

Have you guys seen Ryan vs. Dorkman 1 or 2? If you've ever liked a lightsaber fight on Youtube, you probably have him to thank for it for inspiring it. I almost certainly wouldn't have done my own lightsaber fights if not for RVD1 and 2.

http://youtu.be/8NE5elL30w4

http://youtu.be/RATMJ8JH1qo

Michael Scott, AKA Dorkman, was hit by a car yesterday and was critically injured. This is the GoFundMe for his medical bills. I hope you'll consider donating.
