For those who attended the LRR panel at PAX Prime this year, you'll know that Canada recently had a major theft at the National Maple Syrup Reserve (yes we apparently have one).
Well, you might be happy to know that the syrup has been recovered!

I would like to propose that this day be made into a national holiday in celebration.

Re: $20 million of Maple Syrup recovered
why do I imagine the National Maple Syrup Reserve to be a massive dam, but instead of water it's just full of maple syrup?

I thought they said it was the GLOBAL Maple Syrup Reserve, which made it even funnier.

I must admit, if there was any country which the world would task with guarding the Global Maple Syrup Reserve (a vital component of the pancake industry), it would probably be Canada.

Re: $20 million of Maple Syrup recovered
I'm now curious as to what they're going to do with the recovered syrup. I mean, it's a food product. And food products have very strict health and safety standards that go along with them. I'm not sure if I'd want to pour stolen syrup on my pancakes. Seems like there is a risk there when normally there would not be one.

When Canada man heard about the news, he sent in a second car.
The car on scene contained a hotheaded rookie with something to prove, the second car contained a worn out vet with just 4 months left to retirement.
Thank you Canada man.
