Re: MCM London Comic Con
See this is where a gif of Alex taking off his jacket, showing his bandoleers of clubs and saying "Can you step? Come at me bro!" would be appropriate
Re: MCM London Comic Con
We'll meet and both be decked out in clubs and it'll just be awkward because we showed up in the same outfit...

I am... Considering it. Maybe just the Saturday. Need to decide quickly though, and then get trains etc booked.

Re: MCM London Comic Con
I might consider comming to the Oct one.
I would need to raise funds for that however.
Would be nice to observe some forumites in the flesh, in a none-creepy way.

Re: MCM London Comic Con
If we can confirm enough LRRites going in Oct we could list it as an official fringe meetup, might lure some other LRR fans.

Re: MCM London Comic Con
And make sure we know before we get there, cos trying to organise a meet up place over twitter in a building with zero signal worked so well last time But yeah I'd like to be there if I can - may not actually know until summer.

Good thing I don't have a mobile device that can access twitter then!
Re: MCM London Comic Con
So. Saturday was mental, they con was definitely bigger this year. Sunday is clearly the day to go unless you're looking to hit a specific panel. Much quieter so you can actually get to the stalls and it's also much easier to see and photograph the cool costumes. Not as many standout ones this time around but I got a few photos of some of the good ones.
Highlights for me were the Jane Espenson panel and the Edgar Wright panel.
Amazingly I seemed to have full mobile signal at all times, though I did appear to be the only one.

Re: MCM London Comic Con
Mild thread hijack to point out July's apparently a busy month and the Con calendar with a bunch of others lined up. This weekend its London Film and Anime Con and at the end of the month its London Anime Con. Both in London.
Between them, and I hope I can be forgiven the rather shameless plug, a bunch of friends and associates are putting on ReadCon in Reading next weekend. It'd be nice to see them get a bit of rub for their work.

Anyone planning to go to hyperjapan at earls's court on 27th July?
Maybe we should make this a general UK/London con thread

UK Cons:
It's a bit smelly, expensive, food is bad, The Isle of Wight, the red breasted robin. And so many more.

Hey, British food is very very good. British cuisine, on the other hand, is functionally non-existent.

Could 'clubbing' someone work with a Leek work?
For some reason, if I ever met you Elomin Sha, I'd try to "Leek or "Bara Brith" you.

I was in King's X yesterday for an hour, I would come back but I can't afford the fare.
I need either a northern convention or much more warning
(Unless I get the job I was interviewed for)
