Epocalypse's Random Re-Appearance Animation Thread

Postby epocalypse » 22 Oct 2012, 22:51

Imagine me coming out of a cave... a cave known as USC animation grad school, to say a quick hey, not dead, still love ya! before seeping back into that cave to finish directing my thesis film.

WELL IMAGINE NO LONGER! Cause that's what's happening. Anyway guys, I just wanted to start a chat about cartoons, say hey to you all again, and state one of the key facts of the univemultiultraverse, cartoons rock. And quite frankly, we're still getting great ones.

So let's chat about toons.

Also, holy jebus, Cartoon Network just turned twenty.

p.s. how y'all been?

He's alive!
dude. Long time no see, eh?
It's like there was this mass migration as many of us set out across the wilds in search of treasure fame and adventure.
Now, our various quests fulfilled, we return to the comforts of home to swap stories of our campaigns, our triumphs, are failings.
...
Yeah I just got around to posting again too. I been good. almost done with my undergrad... (Not nearly as impressive as yours though)
so there's that.

P.S. glad you're still launching stuff from Trebuchets, Lord knows we haven't seen enough stuff soaring through the air.

winner!

I think of transitioning to drone based remote control flying trebuchets, we are living in the future, after all.

Wait, you're at USC? You're obligatorily my mortal enemy now. :/

I hear we're actually gonna burn an effigy of your guys' mascot in a week or so.

Anyway, CN is just older than I am? Eesh.

And all I can do is read a book to stay awake. And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape.

Wow, long time no see. What kind of animation are you learning? Hand drawn? Flash? 3d modeling? A bit of everything?

I love animation as a medium but I know very little about it's creation. Would love to hear about cool tricks or anything like that.

*nods to E as he returns to the fold - even briefly*

Welcome back, old friend - the usual?

*stops polishing a glass and places it on the bar before the prodigal*

CN is only that young? Feels like it's been around *forever*...still, it's good to see it make these milestones - it keeps hope alive.

But seriously though, if you're doing anything in the field of animation, I'm sure it can only get BETTER, man.

(and the industry better show they've got more than two brain cells to rub together and hire you)
