Anyone who says this in any seriousness (not sure if you're serious, Memo) has an extremely Myopic view of history. It's just a shame that everyone who lived through the 1900s and 10s is dead now, they'd tell you wild stories of polarizing parties working against each other to block progress. It's not like the 60s and 70s were all that peachy either. There were radical, violent protests over civil rights and the Vietnam war, remember?
I have to disagree with you there, although should another civil war come it would not be the south rising again, in fact it wouldn't be state against state. It would look much more like the War of the Roses, there were strongholds for sure but all the middle bits were where the war happened.

You have a misunderstanding about the US military. If the south were to rise again, which I agree is highly unlikely, the military sides with the south. The US military is Just some good old boys, never meanin' no harm... Beats all you never saw, been in trouble with the law Since the day they was born. 40% of the military is from states that were in the confederacy, Vrs about 27% in the Union. If you take the "line" strait west it makes about 65% "southern"

I couldn't agree with you any more on this last point. It is extremely unlikely but if it does happen it for sure wont be north vrs south.
