Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
Re: Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
Today when I got home from my Christmas vacation (I was away for 11 days), I found my signed copy of SpaceChem in the mail! What a great way to come back from vacation. <3
Thank you, Desert Bus 6, for being the SpaceChem-est Desert Bus yet. Now I just need to figure out how to beat the last level...

Thank you!
For the last two days I've been working hard at beating the last level and I got it!
I guess all I really needed to beat the last level was a persistence driven by the fact that I paid so much money for the game (for the children!). I am proud of myself and I am happy to say that I wouldn't have been able to do it if I hadn't won the game in the silent auction.
Now I have to enjoy the fact that I just overcame something that has been in my way for over a year. I owe this good feeling to Desert Bus 6. I am as happy as I am legally allowed to be at this moment. Thank you again for being awesome!

Re: Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
So quick question, may hve been asked/answered already but I figured I'd ask.
Has anyone heard anything about the Desert Bus shirts? Just curious because I ordered past deadline when they orders were still open and wanted to know if I hadn't heard anything because of that.

I vaguely remember someone saying they'd be sent out in February or March, so, not expecting to hear anything about them yet. If the orders were still open I'm sure you'll be getting it though.

Re: Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
I just got an email from FanGamer saying the shirts were just getting printed, and was the address they had for me the right one?
So I presume they're almost on their way.

I vaguely remember there being a whole "it was meant to close at X time, but it was a manual switch and we forgot, so yeah it closes whenever we actually close it." which resulted in being available for order for a couple hours beyond it's original schedule.
In other DB6 news: Holy Ass-Balls it's the 24-hour time-lapse video
The weirdest thing about it is seeing all the action without any overlay.

Also got the confirmation email, so I hope they're going out soon.
On a different note, well done to the vid capture and youtube upload crew this year. I've been working my way back through the whole thing as something to watch as I exercise and you haven't missed a damn thing. Well Plaid indeed.

Re: Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
I just checked my tracking number, and mine allegedly left the US Postal Service in Tucson yesterday, so I think it'd be safe to assume a large number of shirts (DB6 and otherwise) were shipped that day as well.
Thankfully it's only a Desert Bus point and a half (aka 12 hours' drive) from Tucson to my town, so hopefully I should have it within a few days. I can't wait.

Re: Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
The DB6 torrent is now available for general consumption after a few days of building up seeds: http://fugiman.com/DesertBus6.torrent
130GB of HD goodness! Hope you've got some space handy!
Fugi recommends Media Player Classic or VLC for playback, if you have audio desync issues then try the other player.
We know the first 2-3 seconds of many of the videos are a frozen frame, but as the audio is uninterrupted and in sync when the video starts moving this isn't a big enough issue to warrant a re-encode.
And here's DB5 in case you need another week's worth of video for some reason (only 30GB due to non-HDness!): http://fugiman.com/De5ertBus.torrent

Re: Desert Bus 6 Appreciation Thread
Got my Desert Bus 6 shirt the other day. Wearing it now. Feels good.
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.
