That was a good piece - no condescension, no sneering at the "video game nerds", really positive throughout! The world could do with more coverage like that.

Pity it didn't show them being taken to the store.

I'm not sure primetime TV watching grannies would understand the simple beauty of a normal guy doing a normal walk. I agree it would have been fantastic though.

Just want to throw in... it should be Desert Bus 007: Live and Let Die (or suitable parody thereof). Becuase that's the one where Bond actually drives a bus. ;)

Desert Bus 007: Live and Let Drive
It's not epic unless it's dactylic hexameter.

Someone in the chat suggested "Desert Bus 007: Octobussy" - I endorse this idea. As Octo is used skip 8 and go to 9 in 2014.

Basically what everyone already said, but I would like to give the shipping crew a special mention.
I won a prize on wednesday and I already received it today! Seeing as I live in the Netherlands this is incredibly fast. Thank you so much for the quick and efficient shipping. And of course thanks to everyone for being awesome and making my week better, even though I'm going through some tough times.

Have to say this somewhere:

I'm really regretting not going the extra $485 to get season 1. At the time I was sleep deprived and was worried I would regret spending 2K, but I actually regret not spending more. I hope the opportunity to bid on more LRR goodness will come again next year. I'll be saving.

Despite that, thank you, DB team, for a solid week of wonderful entertainment. I'll need to go back to the YouTube archives and watch stuff I missed (and some stuff I want to see again). Next year I think I'm gonna need to take that week off work. And maybe increase my Internet limit. High Denglervision hurts the wallet!
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.

As much as I'd love to have my own Season 1 Graham has asked a few years ago for no torrent of Season 1 to be made available.

Well, if the money isn't going to charity, it's too high a price even for a physical copy.

I think Merrymaker means the torrent of the compilation of season 1 video's found through the way back machine. I'm pretty sure the crew have said they are okay with that because it's basically publicly available anyway.

Not sure if serious.. Because FF9 is fantastic, bitches!

Also, I think I should probably state it here rather than the Desert Bus Posters thread.. Fangamer? REALLY BUSSING AWESOME.

So, last week, I was in a terrible place when it came to money, watching and supporting Desert Bus not only made time less of a factor, it was entertaining, supportive, inspirational and legitimately made me less depressed.

Anyway, I really like the design of the brown DB6 shirt and after a past thing with PayPal, I thought "Oh! The funds might just go from my PayPal account and when money comes into bank, I can transfer it to PayPal!".. But the payment didn't go through, so I had no idea whether it was ordered or not.
I e-mailed Fangamer, expected it'd be a few days after Desert Bus and their own sale before I'd get a response, so when it came through, there was supposedly an order "placed" but wasn't finalized properly. There's 1-2 days left before the order deadline, one large brown shirt can still be added, and I can send the amount due to them via PayPal. Hopefully, Child's Play still benefits from that! :D

Have to say right up there among my favourite DB6 moments was one that exemplifies the hard work and tiredness the DB creates:
Ian going up to driver cam to show off a giveaway prize, calling out to engineering for the feed to be changed to driver cam, then remembering that he was the only one on engineering for that shift and running to the back of the room to change camera.

Ian seems to be a top bloke on camera and I have no reason to doubt that he is a top bloke in actual fact. I'll have to find a video of his epic "Werner Herzog Going To The Store Commentary" experiment because that just had me in bits.
