I "dodn't see it coming" for the simple fact that, guys, occasionally people just don't get married. I figured short of it being revealed Graham is actually a drug kingpin, or Kathleen Hitler in a wig, they'd be together forever.

Also they aren't going to livestream the wedding. That's both silly and creepy. Though knowing them, there'll probably be select pics and/or storytime when it's all said and done.
Also if neither of them has seen it yet, this thread will be so weird by the time they do. I mean, we're already planning fake versions of a wedding that hasn't even happened yet.

Yeah, sometimes people just don't get married. It's not like you're obligated to do so!

And yeah, I'm seconding the "asking them to livestream the wedding is creepy" guys. Srsly.

I think people are just slightly buzzing still from perving during Desert Bus. That's why they're eager to breakdown the walls of privacy.

See, I think even that is a minority group of people.. I was talking to Kroze a lot about that kind of thing, especially regarding the Pika stuff.

As I've said already, privacy/personal life if privacy/personal life. Gotta remember, we're fans first, only a few LRR fans are in the "friend" zone with the crew, and I know I'm not exactly one of them.

Above all, it's for the best to respect Graham & Kathleen's personal lives. I absolutely understand the reasoning for wanting to keep it more private and less "the internet must know".. Because then it gets a tad over the top.

I can't stress it enough.. Sure, be happy/excited for 'em, it's incredible news! But hopefully everyone can know their boundaries, same for when Tim announced his engagement.

I come from Wales where because the the National Eisteddfod and you are guaranteed to see a major celebrity there, we're slightly subdued with regards to fandom. We hold 'icons' in human regard.
I am very happy for the pair of them and respect their personal lives.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did a Feed Dump and somehow weave in Wedding Photos (Like how they did a Phailhause where it was basically them showing their holiday snaps). Or write a cH around deliberately showing them.

wow I am legit crying I'm so happy for you two! (Well, I guess it could be from waking up from an unexpected 16-hour post-DB nap too, but I'm pretty sure it's happiness.)

Hmmm...there's an idea:

Running gag with 'engagement progress' for the 'before the titles segment' of the next few cH episodes - Graham notices something different, and finds out Kathleen is steadily working along with plans for the wedding, etc. and then goes along with her (since what she's got in mind is perfectly fine anyway) until we culminate in the 'why do I have this ring on my finger?' one.

*shrug* again, just throwing ideas out...

It was this thread. Of course, in that same thread, we also decided that Grathleen De Stark was a steampunk villain, so take it for what it's worth.

I know they've been commonly referred to as Grathleen, so that seems most legit. Katham sounds like Cat-ham. Though cats DO like ham!

IIRC, Graham and Kathleen have been together for something like 9 years, no? This seems to be the "tipping" point for long-time couples; they either break up or they get married.

When a good friend of mine married his girlfriend of 8 years last August, I congratulated them and wished them all the happiness in the world. His response, "thank you very much, but our lives won't change that dramatically..."

Huh. So this is a thing that evidently happened.
