Re: If you could live anywhere...
I think there is a way to make chocolate not melt unless it's really hot.
Although I'm guessing it won't make it very edible if you do that.
But I think they're at more danger of being eaten then melting. It's why chocolate lesbians live in secret and are very endangered.
More endangered than the panda. TRUEFACTS.

Re: If you could live anywhere...
Good chocolate melts around 34C (94 or so F) so it wouldn't be to bad. 34C is a little below body temp so any attempts to..lay with them would be very messy. Although it is the land of chocolate lesbians so that my not be a problem.

When you start talking about chocolate lesbians, any thread is bound to be derailed.

Re: If you could live anywhere...
The US Army has been able to make chocolate that can withstand heat up to 60 °C, so it's certainly possible to remove melting as an issue.
The falafel lesbians do sound tempting though.

The question is, is it good chocolate?
Walk in like DeNiro, and leave like Brando.

I would rather live in the land of chocolate straight women personally, a land of lesbian would just be one giant tease.

It's better than a pile of manure.
Also why not? People use chocolate in sex play all the time.

Re: If you could live anywhere...
Gonna combo-break this chocolate discussion to say, I would most definitely live in Vancouver.
Been there multiple times and it is without a doubt my favorite city, just would need the funds to actually make it feasible.

Vancouver is also up there for me.
I have been really lucky with where I have lived: Victoria, Vancouver, La Serena (Chile) and Melbourne.

I really enjoy where I live now tbh. I wish I had more freedom to _travel_ though...
I'd go to Colorado and ski all the damn time. (do they have skiing in BC?)

Re: If you could live anywhere...
They do.
Whistler Blackcomb is a world class sky resort. The site of most of the skiing events at the Vancouver Olympics it has the second highest vertical drop in North America (the highest vertical drop is at Revelstoke which is also in BC) and is the largest ski resort in North America. Whistler is only 125 km from Vancouver.
Across the harbour from downtown Vancouver is Grouse Mountain and Cypress Mountain, popular ski areas. Other ski resorts in BC include Mount Washington, Sun Peaks, Big White and Red Mountain.

I like Baltimore for everything except the stupid government. The history's great. The people are great. The culture is great. The climate is pretty good. If I could just swap Baltimore's government for the (likely more competent) government of some other place, that'd be great.

Re: If you could live anywhere...
Whilst I loved living in Victoria for a brief amount of time, it's not my style. Too many yuppies, bad drivers and not enough city-ness for me. I love love love visiting there, though.

Re: If you could live anywhere...
Victoria BC (No, not because of LRR, because of the god damn sky pics I've seen on Reddit, and the trees, and the ocean and the- Though LRR is a pretty good reason.)
Sweden, because seriously, if Victoria's supposed to be pretty, then Sweden is prom queen. Also, it has Deedles AND Seventh Wonder, AND Opeth? seriously? That just brings it down to a battle of what's better, a chance to befriend LRR and friends, or a chance to befriend ALL the awesome music. (Deedles not included in this equation since I've already befriended her, through the power of INTERNETS!) I honestly don't think I could decide between the two.
Or Finland. Because fuck it, live with ALL the crazy people!..Which I guess also means Russia... Also strangely enough, both spawned a heap of amazing bands.
Ya know what, is "Anywhere that it snows" an answer? Because apparently that's what I want. Also apparently that's what it takes to make amazing music. Snow. The reason Aus has a horrible music scene, because it's fuckin Australia mate, snow's about as common as drinkin a fosters!

I'm half tempted to say the Lake District or Snowdonia, but I know I'd miss living in a big city. Honestly, I really like where I live at the moment. (Sheffield)

Re: If you could live anywhere...
Given the money/resources/whatever and no work obligation, I think I'd want to live in Taiwan or Shanghai for however many years necessary to improve my Mandarin to fluent levels. I also really would love to live in New York City since they have perhaps the best improvised music scene. So maybe that would be phase 2.
