Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo 2013

Postby Utilitarian » 25 Mar 2013, 23:47

Well now that PAX EAST is over I feel like I can start the thread for Calgary.

Who's all going? What are you excited for? (Aside from LRR, obviously -_^)

I am going to play so much Magic!

Also is it wrong that I am almost as excited for Richard Dean Anderson as I am for Nathan Fillion?

(also... if you are planning on driving there from the Vancouver area and feel like some company who hates Greyhounds and will provide money for gas and snacks... drop me a PM)

I am going to be there though I am coming from the other direction sorry. I always enjoy watching live LRR but as of yet I don't see them listed on the program.

As for what I am excited about:(in no particular order)
-Nathan Fillion
-the Voice acting panels
-Weird Al
-Getting some more original art by Kathleen(Still have the creepy kitty drawing from last year)
-getting a few AHH Muffin shirts :)
Bonuses
-Getting Paul to finaly sign the shirt that I got at PAX East 2012(I hope he comes out to this one)

They haven't finished the schedule yet, so hopefully we'll have at least one LRR panel when the final schedule is posted. The expo is going to be huge this year, should be interesting to see how they handle the crowds.

Having the expo here with LRR in attendance almost makes it worth living in Calgary! :D

UGGGGGGGGGGGG. I just came back from YYC and I am most upset. I put out a joking status about how if anyone wanted to fly me back and buy me tickets to meet the BoondockSaints boys and NAthan Fillion that would be awesome. And my friend told me he could get me backstage passes to meet them.

And I can't get back to Calgary.

So upset.

So.

Upset.

I will never touch Nathan Fillion's tush.

You should ride with James, YOU COULD BE ON VAN DUMP 2.0 "Moose Hunters"

You are being completely unfair to Colonel O'Neil!

And believe me, if James offered me a space in the Van I would be very happy.

I am so stoked for this con! Not only does it have a ton of people I've liked since childhood, but I'm working a booth full of cosplaying models.

And somehow, LRR being there is actually making this cooler!

I gotta get pictures of the LRR crew with my Portal Gun. It's kind of a con tradition of mine.

I should hope so. YYC is a terrible song. I mean, Dah dit Dah Dah Dah dit Dah Dah Dah dit Dah dit is just a bad syncopation.

Regrettably that song is YYZ

Also the schedule for the Magic tourneys has been posted! I had totally somehow missed that the Dragon's Maze pre-release is happening then! Awesome!

That was the JOKE. That was the whole point. I changed the morse code from Z (Dah Dah dit dit) to C (Dah dit Dah dit). This changes the 1/4 1/4 1/8 1/8 pattern to a syncopated 1/4 1/8 1/4 1/8 pattern.
