Re: The Matt Puns List!
I used to have a challenge going on with people that I could find a pun for almost any word. Not to mention my awful puns during the LRR MTG stream last night.
Re: The Matt Puns List!
This has to be one of the most elaborate pun setups I've ever seen. Wish the audio were a little cleaner.

So, you take the genes of 3 Pokemon and splice them together... Wartortle, Gengar, and Weepinbell
I assume that's how you get Wargarbell.

Re: The Matt Puns List!
A neighbor of mine had a cat who got hit by a car. I helped him to take it to an emergency vet, but it was definitely too late. The doctor came in and broke the bad news to my neighbor. Distraught, he asked whether there was really nothing that could be done. The cat was dead. The doctor sighed and mentioned he could get a second opinion; he left the room and returned a short time later with a big black dog. The dog walked up to the cat, sniffed it, then walked back to the vet and laid down on the floor. Angry, but coming to the realization that there really was nothing that could be done, my neighbor asked if there was any hope at all. The vet left and came back again, this time with a calico cat, who also sniffed the body, then wandered over and laid down at the doctor's feet. My neighbor asked to be alone for a bit, so the doctor, his two companions, and I left the room. A short while later, the cat's owner came out of the exam room and asked about making arrangements for the vet's office to take care of his pet's body. We were finalizing everything, and taking care of the bill (my neighbor's always been quite practical), when he starts shouting! "$1,500 to tell me my cat's dead!? That's outrageous!" The staff eventually calmed him down and the vet came out to explain the bill.
"Well, I couldn't in good conscience charge you for breaking the bad news, but I do have to charge you for the diagnostics."
"What diagnostics?"
"Well, the lab test was $600, and the CAT scan was $900."
