The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
I thought the Executive Producer tier was limited to three, but it only says two. Did they change it?

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
You know, I've realized something. I still really want to see a remastered Season 1. I do, because I enjoyed seeing the season quite a bit. The commentary alone was great, and there were very solid sketches in the season.
But... I'd much rather them actually work on new DVDs then put their time and energy into it. I'd rather see a Season 6+ stretch goal, just because it seems like it'd be something they'd more want to put out anyways. Plus it's more new content with newer seasons. I just think that that would be better. Though it does suffer that it wouldn't be free like Season 1 would be. I want to see both, but I think working on newer seasons would be better personally.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
Despite my earlier allusions towards getting as much money as possible, there is a finite amount of time the Crew has to do things. It would be counter to the entire purpose of the Kickstarter if they start eating into the time they need to produce sketches just to fulfill more donation tiers. Even something like a haiku takes time, energy and bookkeeping. Having Graham record something for you does take time, but I think it's also something he'll have fun doing (for the first dozen, anyway). Kathleen seems to enjoy improving ads.
Kickstarters become a curse instead of a windfall when they get to be too much. I think they Crew knew what they were signing up for and the limited number of tiers and the limits within tiers reflect that. Admittedly, the more money they get through the Kickstarter, the more part-time James gets to be and hence the more time LRR has to fulfill the Kickstarters, but the balance still has to be taken into account.

Anyone notice the new, but sold-out limited $1000 tier (for one person only!)

Yeah that was done right before they hit their goal (I think it pushed them over it too iirc). Seems like he talked to them about it and they made one specifically for Max. They had a discussion about it on twitter.

I think with a good final push this weekend we could definitely get D&D Lava Bears going.

Yeah, we were on a call for the CAH Deathmatch project and he told me that if I added that, he'd back it. So I did, and he did. It was hilarious.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
I would like to see the Kickstarter reach $180 000 so we can have a double shot of Crap(shots) each week. Right now that is $12 077 away which I think we can make over the last few days.
We are all made of star dust. However we are also made of nuclear waste.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
After taking the time to actually think about my financial future, I've decided to lower my pledge to $40. Sorry, guys, I just have too much going on from now until the next time I'm likely to have a job. However, since the tier I vacated is the much-coveted $400 "Adventurer of Arland" tier, I'm hoping that my decrease won't significantly affect the money LRR receives.

If you fund you're awesome.
Funding less than what you originally thought you could spare doesn't make you less awesome.
In fact, letting people know that an Arland tier is back open might qualify you for extra awesome

What if Alan Turing came up with the test because he was actually a robot and wanted people to find out?

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
Glad to see we might actually get the Lavabears. I was very excited for this, and really hope we don't somehow fizzle before the kickstarter stops.
More crap is up in the air, but at least we got that first helping of crap.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
There was a dip just now, that was me. This time its not a part of a trolling bad joke.
With the continuing shut down, threatening to cut off all of my veterans benefit payments for next month, I had to drop our contribution to the kickstarter way down. If congress gets its stuff together before the end Lady Hosk and I will put the contribution back up, if they dont we will contribute that amount at a later time as support for the season of filming, just not as a part of the kickstarter.

Well that must made it more dramatic than I hoped it would be.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
I am willing to bet that the last few days will see a influx of new supporters, to the tune of $35,000-$40,000.

I agree with Hosk.
Now we just need to find someone to take the Rejected Backer tier and then ship all the shirt to the middle of Michigan....

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
And every time they've live-streamed for the Kickstarter they've gotten a fair chunk of change so I'm sure they'll rally on Sunday for sure as they count down.
I don't even...what?
Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
Can't they donate the shirts to salvation army or something if no one wants them
There, of course, is a possibility that even the salvation army doesn't want them

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
Sounds like you made the right call Hosk, obviously making sure your family has enough to live is more important than any of this.
I think we'll still be fine making it to $170,000, especially if LRR starts a big "last few days" push on Twitter. $180,000 seems less likely, but still possible if there are a lot of people waiting for the last moment (I know my brother keeps meaning to pledge and forgetting, but I'm sure he will be before it's over). Season One is looking... unlikely, at this point.

Look, I may not agree with the Salvation Army, or at least the US branch, on a lot of things... but I still wouldn't wish that on them.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter
I'm with Kapol on the issue of Free Season 1, really.
As nice as it would be, there's better things to devote that time and effort to, for bigger payoffs (to us).
I'm cool if it doesn't get there.
...I'd still love to get a smallish windfall in the lottery and snap up Rejected Backer, tho.
