It's starting to look a bit less likely that we're going to get the calendar, but I'm still holding out hope... Image

Give it until January, phlip... There might be enough money by then... :D

So apparently, American Express isnt cool with you backing a kickstarter with 8 different accounts to help out people who dont have credit cards.

To the three of you who might have just checked their account and saw a rejected funding Im fixing it right now with another card because the AMEX person cant fix it because it tripped an auto lock out for that vendor.

Well, actually I'm impressed with AMEX for that level of protectiveness for their customers' credit...I mean 'transactions they'd have to honour'. ;)

I'm clearly not competent with math enough to handle my own finances. Don't even know where the money went. But anyway my pledge fell through. Good thing you didn't particularly need it eh.

Yeah, I was totally expecting my credit card company to not put the charge through the first time around. They're so conservative and since I never use the card, they were like "hold up!" with this rather large amount I was trying to put on the card. Should have it sorted in a day or two but it's still so annoying. And of course today has to be a "holiday" here in the states. Lame.

For some reason Kickstarter keeps declining my card. There's zero reason why it should and it's giving me literally zero info as to why. Perplexed.

edit: And solved. Turns out becuase I'd been making transactions in different places due to a few trips and was now paying a huge sum abroad that my bank's fraud unit picked it up. A small annoyance, but I'm glad my bank do that.

Now to decide what game to make the guys play. I really want to do DOTA2 so lots of people can get involved but I'm not sure if that'd be too much for a few hours stream. Failing that, Gunpoint is pretty high on the list.

Dang, cut it kind of close. I put 375 euros on my prepaid card. I now have 4.75 left. Not a whole lot :-P. But it worked, which is the important bit!

My credit card company also flagged the transaction as potentially fraudulent. I've cleared it up with them, but it's definitely something people should keep an eye on. I don't know if it being international has anything to do with it.

That happened to me with Pledge Music except the bank shut off my card without even a phone call or email.

My credit card said something once I did the donation, for some tiny processing fee or something.

I would be totally cool with DOTA2. I wanted to back at the Rumble tier, just to see how Kathleen would respond to playing DOTA2. But it was gone before I could get the cash together.

Yeah. I think it'd be good, but if they guys have no experience with it, I fear it would fall into the category of just being unfun for all involved. Although the ideal would be 5 of the crew playing games against rotating teams of Kickstarter backers.

Weren't there a few Commodore Hustles that featured DotA? Or was that League... I wasn't playing either at the time so I might've got them confused.
I seem to remember a storyline with one of the cast members (Jer?) being addicted to it or something like that.

Morgan and Bill were addicted. Jer beat them at DotA as vengeance for them listing him as missing.

Oh yeah, that was it.

That means that there aren't any main cast members in that entire storyline. No telling on how familiar the rest of the cast is with the game, but at least they know OF it.
