Having made an effort to see Captain America prior to last week's episode, I thought the episode worked very well and it was nice to see the show actually tie into the events of the movie. However, it was terrible for anyone who didn't get to see the movie beforehand (while the movie also spoils the show, the revelation doesn't have nearly the same impact in the show as in a Cap movie).

It would have being better had the show taken 2-3 episodes that take place before/during the first act of the movie, to let more people see it beforehand, before dropping the bomb and playing out most of the events of this episode.

That said, I'm very interested to see where the next episodes take us.

In Europe at least Cap has been out for a couple of weeks and in the UK at least we are only on EP:15 officially so that should be plenty of time!

In North America, it came out 3 days before episode 17, which takes place alongside the events of the movie.

Well, the season is over now, and season 2 has being greenlighted.

So....Whadidyathink?

Personally, the last half of the season, especially the "Uprising" arc of the last six episodes, was a huge step up for the series. If the start of season 2 can keep up the pace (and avoid dragging their feet waiting for the next movie to happen), we have the makings of an excellent series here.

Agreed. Any show with a focus on an overarching plot rather than standalone episodes immediately gets a huge boost is my book, and ever since they made that transition, I've been entirely on board with it. Still some kinks to work out, but I think if they don't revert back to the mid-season status quo and just monster of the week stuff, I'll be very happy.

This first half of the series was world building and scooby doo-ing, the second half was a grand story with characters development. A bit like finishing peas before starting on the ice cream. Overall, I liked it.

I think the plan was always to kill off Fitz at the end, but then he developed into a bit of a viewer surrogate once Skye got to know her way around and his partnership with Simmons made for compelling enough interpersonal drama to warrant his incapacitation instead of death.

I'm hopeful. It wasn't amazing, but seems like we're off to a good start.

I didnt like the last 10 minutes of the first season. The dire situation and the allpowerful mcguffin. It was over with a wink and a wave of the hand.

I was slightly worried about them actually showing what happened in Bahrain, but damn if they didn't pull it off.

Second seasons sure been stronger then the first.
Still has ups and downs, but feels like everyone is just..well..doing MORE.

Additionally, apparently theres a spin-off in the works.
And thats in addition to another (Non-netflix) Marvel universe show.

Normally Id be sceptical of this much saturation, but given how great Agent Carter was, and how fantastic Daredevil is, I'm all for it.

I really like Cal, despite being a very bad individual. Kudos to Kyle MacLachlan for how he shows his emotions reminiscing.
