Avatar Shapeshifting
Here's a weird thing I thought a while ago but thought I should share. What would you do if you gained the ability to shapeshift, but could only turn into what was depicted on the avatar on any of your online accounts (Skype, Twitter, Steam, Facebook, LRR forum, ect)?

Re: Avatar Shapeshifting
Probably change my avatar into something more interesting.
But assuming it's stuck as soon as the power comes in... the ability to turn into a cartoonified version of a character who unintentionally looks a lot like me and has a sword and armour would be fun, I guess? I'd be all set for Halloween, at least.

Hmm... I think I need an avatar that isn't a 7-pointed star. Then again, very pointy. Assuming the power works at will, I could like, run at people and shift into a giant shuriken...

Huh. That's something I never thought of with this, if you'd have the ability to change up the forms by changing the avi on your various things. Could be interesting to take advantage of.
Also, with Halloween coming up, it would be a good time to take advantage of it. Wonder if you'd get disqualified from a costume contest by being a shapeshifter.

I'd be able to sit in one spot, waving, apparently, or be able to turn into... myself.

I'd become the character of the book I'm writing. How awkward. Oh well, there's a precedent for novels about the author in John Dies at the End.
Unless we're going with my present avatar that's a stick figure whose moods affect his background color. Pretty cool. Except everyone would want to hang their coat on my mouth.

Remember that treehouse of horror episode where homer got turned into a jack-in-the-box? Yeah, I'd be buggered. (Not in a fun way)

The thought of graham getting this ability and just walking around with hats falling on his head for the rest of time keeps making me laugh, people as starting to give me weird looks

While I am the commander of an airship that's most certainly NOT falling out of the sky.
