What's your New Year's Resolution! (poll)

Postby King Kool » 01 Jan 2014, 05:10

What is YOUR New's Year's Resolution's? I believe I've covered every possibility in the poll, so there should be no reason to discuss this in the topic with other ideas.

I kinda want to lose an electron.

In seriousness, I want to write every day.

Okay, out of those listed, I REALLY LIKE the "REO Bandwagon" cover band option. :D

...but the most realistic for me is...

Buy a new computer (if I ever get the money) and deliberately avoid playing DotA2 to spite the C that is my "friend".

If I got a new Computer, my biggest priority would be to play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 more because then I would have the RAM to be able record good-quality footage in good amounts of time and then edit it.
Why would I want to play with some elitist prick who is meant to be my friend?

Sorry, I thought this was the Venting thread.
-

I would say my New Year's Resolution would be "get pissed off less", but, getting "pissed off" shows passion and emotion. If I didn't get "pissed off", it meant I didn't care. I get pissed off when a "friend" is an arse hole because I like the friend, I just hate what they're doing. If I didn't like them, I wouldn't give a shit and unfriend them because I didn't care.

My New Years resolution is 1280x720.
It's all over but the crying. And the taxes.

Nothing. I have a life long plan. Not a year plan. I will be a drum teacher. Which is more realistic considering I've been giving lessons and in March I'm up for a government grant.

The only guaranteed thing I do on a new year is change my calendar. In February, people forget their resolutions entirely. Not much resolve there.

Get back to the school bench to get myself an education to help me actually get a proper income, hopefully in the meantime I can find some small part-time thing to have on the side too.

That's my plan for this year.

Not a resolution as such, but I absolutely intend to self-publish my first novel in the coming months, and finish writing the second one.

I am going to be doing a character sketch a day! Thought of this back in October but was too lazy to remember the day I would have started.

New Year's Resolution:
Maybe talk to my family more??

I know! Try to get to Montreal to visit my grandparents this year. If I fail at that, I will call my Grandparents at least once this this year instead! I might be able to complete that one.

I wanna read more too. Like 20 books this year. I used to do more. Read 22 in 2010. Then 17 in 2011. Then 14 in 2012. 2013 was 11 books, which I think is a new low since 2006 (the year I've since been keeping track of what I read). I say let's go back to 20.

1. Do applications far ahead of time.
2. Be more honest about feelings.

Same as last year, play more video games.
I was unsatisfied with my performance.

Additionally, I resolve to break my second resolution.

Have you attempted to get a relationship? I have had the impression that you had no interest in one.

I agree with you, but I felt I needed to point out that it was awesome in two (unfortunately) disparate ways - what I wanted for a resolution, and what I needed for a resolution. :)

My resolution, like many others, is to let the hostages go. But I refuse to do so until my demands are met, goddamnit. I have to hold my ground. If I show a single sign of weakness, what will become of me? Who will I be if I let others wear me down? No, I must remain strong. I resolve to release them, but only by making them see that they must give me what I need first.

...that post seems much creepier now that I've typed it out. >_>
