While interesting, it didn't require it's own thread. Maybe the LOL thread.

...or "Thread of Win" (on the cat's part "eff it; I'm gonna follow you anyway")

The thread title DID worry me seen on its own. ;)

Worried me too. Quickly opened it wondering what kind of sick joke it was going to be... and then I was met by this GIF, and d'awwwwed. :P

I'm still trying to get my head around the title before I even ATTEMPT to get my head around the gif.

Maybe a better title would have been "What happens when a cat breaks its legs?", perhaps?

Legs look like they're already broken.

Why would you break a cat's legs?

Because the little bastard won't pay up and you already warned him twice?

No wait, I'm thinking of a rat...

Because you want it to walk like a cute little robot?

(Disclaimer: Don't torture your pets.)

Amake already alluded to this but I feel I must post it anyway.

Put Smarties tubes on cats' legs, make them walk like a robot.

That's the first thing I thought of too. Actually what I thought of when I read the title! Eventually. Once I got over the horrible implications.

"Smarties tubes"? Since when did Smarties come in tubes?

Outside of the US, there's a candy called Smarties which is basically the same idea as M&Ms (though most people have a strong preference one way or the other). They're sold in cardboard tubes in the UK, apparently, though here they usually come in boxes.

As an aside, the candy Americans call Smarties is sold as Rockets in Canada.

Whoa, I did not know that. I thought Americans had chocolate Smarties? Freaky.

Memo, a parallel - getting back to the cat's legs - might be to think of those plastic tubes 'mini M&Ms' come in/came in (they might be discontinued by now, since it's been...decades since I was living in the US :P )

Smarties tubes are AWESOME! You can slam the middle and it shoots the plastic lid off across the room. HOURS of fun.

UK smarties are gross. Just horrible, horrible candy.

What really gets weird is that "American" Smarties are made in Canada.

Where are Canadian Smarties made?

Canada.

Courtesy of Nestle Canada (and the Canadian arm of Rowntrees before the confectionary giant gobbled them up).

Basically, Canadian Smarties resemble M&Ms, except they're a little wider and a little shallower (and naturally don't have the 'm' logo on them ;) ).

A bowl of Skittles and M&Ms is awesome. It becomes a bowl of S&Ms.
