Have you tried the YouTube inbuilt editor? I've only used it for extremely minor things, but it might do some work. Other than WMM, I've seen Avisynth, AvsPmod, and Avidemux recommended for the free user. Otherwise, paid recommended options are Adobe Premier Pro for $19.99 a month, or Sony Vegas Pro for $599. I think the last one's a little out of price ranges for the average stream.

Incidentally, I've managed to get most of my computer problems fixed, and have tentatively taken my old spot on Wednesday nights AEST starting in March. I've lined up a real stinker for a comeback too, which some of you might know. :P Hopefully it all works out, but I'll be testing up until I go live at any rate, just for my own sanity.

I've rebranded my stream as "Admiral Memo's Awesome Game-os"
I redid my layout, and had a successful tech test.

I am also interested in getting my videos edited and on YouTube, so I too would like input on cheap or free movie editing software. :) I'll take a look at YouTube's editing feature.

Edit: After a little research, I'm looking into three programs, all of which are free:
DaVinci Resolve
Avidemux
Lightworks

Going to focus on Lightworks because it's apparently what some professional movie-makers use, and it doesn't re-encode your stuff.

Hey folks, I'm joining the legion!

My stream is at www.twitch.tv/senstaku
Show Name: Senstaku's Shenaniganery
What I'll be playing: Not 100% sure what I'll end up playing consistently, but I'm starting off playing bad games - my first one picked out is Ride to Hell: Retribution
Scheduled time: Fri at 10AM-1PM EST (GMT-5), potentially more in the future.
Chance for bonus streams? Yes.
Twitter notifications? Yes, @johnabates

Currently in the testing and art-direction phase so probably won't start this week, but definitely by next week I should be able to start regularly streaming Friday mornings. Gotta redo my layout and such.

Edit: Sidenote, anyone know an artist I can throw money at to art some stuff for my stream? [/trollface]

I'm trying to work on my skills in creating stream overlays for people. Do you want one of those?

Memo, I've also heard about Flowblade as a editing program. Haven't looked into it further. I'll let you know how it ends up for me.

Sure Memo, thanks. By the way, what's the best way to contact Featherweight about commission requests?

Patreon or Twitter, probably to begin the process, then probably email once you get started.

Sorry I missed my stream yesterday, but my internet just up and quit a half hour beforehand. They'll fix it on Wednesday (I'm at work now) and I plan on running a bonus stream, maybe later that day. Won't be playing Grey Goo, so people who can't watch at that time don't miss anything.

@Memo: Turns out Flowblade only works on Linux, which I don't use. So can't really report anything, sorry.

So an update for folks; I will be launching my inaugural stream tomorrow at 10AM EST - I hope whoever watches it or the replay enjoys listening to me ramble while playing a horrible, horrible, game.

Seeing as Rucdoc isn't streaming today, I'm starting an hour earlier than usual. Good time to catch up on the missed stream last week.

I'd like to amend my previous statement about streaming. It looks like Rucduc already streams at the time I was going to, so I'll move my time to Monday, 8 am to 10ish Pacific time, which is 4 pm to 6 pm GMT. I'll be starting this Monday with Space Quest.

Some of you may have already seen this (I've been spreading it around a bit. :P ) but I'm running a Strawpoll to work out what my next stream game will be. I have to skip a week due to internet cap concerns, but I'll be back on the 18th.

Anyway, here's Wonderwall the poll: http://strawpoll.me/3804207

I might try a test to see how the PS4 to Twitch streaming works tomorrow. If I think it works well, I might consider throwing my hat in the LRR community streams. Considering that I'm getting a fair few games for PS4 in the near future (Final Fantasy Type 0 HD, Bloodborne, and Metal Gear Solid V).

EDIT:

Partial success! The gameplay streamed fine, but my mic audio was very low. I might see if a normal microphone can plug into the PS4 control and work to get better audio. But apart from that, I think it's good to go.

My stream is at www.twitch.tv/valkyrie_lemons
Scheduled time: No regular time at the moment, until I can sort out a good system.
Chance for bonus streams? Yes (Exculisvly ATM)
Twitter notifcations? Maybe, @Valkyrie_Lemons
Website with calendar? No

So we finished Ride to Hell and are now working our way through Duke Nukem Forever, which was voted on for my next game - I think my audience likes to watch me suffer.

Now that I have solid internet, I think I'll join LEGION

My stream is at www.twitch.tv/diserasta
Show Name: Dicking Around with Diserasta
What I'll be playing: Anything that tickles my fancy, which will mostly be RPGs and RTSs.
Scheduled time: Wednesdays, 3PM GMT+11 and Saturdays 9AM GMT+11
Chance for bonus streams? Depends on uni load, will advise.
Twitter notifications? Uh, not for now.

Also, Memo, I see you've been offering to do overlays. May I get one?

Hey guys, I'm planning to stream my Dragons of Tarkir prerelease at 17:00 UTC (as soon as they go online). Not sure what dragon I'll be playing for yet; usually I'd pick something Izzety for a prerelease, but that's not really an option in this case. Might go for Kolaghan.

My stream is at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax

I hate having to cancel streams. This is now the second week in a row I've had to cancel because of illness. I could stream, but it wouldn't have any audio because I can't really speak and I still feel like warmed over garbage.

I can cough real good though. Lots of practice recently.
