Explore your town a little bit! Specifically, find a new shop that you haven't been in that looks interesting, and check it out. I'd recommend yarn or craft stores because they're always cozy, welcoming, and interesting, but let your own adventure progress as it will. Bonus points if you strike up a pleasant conversation with the proprietor/whoever's working there. Maybe you'll find a new place to go!

Well I went into the local Polish Shop and had a look around; honestly it's basically like any other food shop...just in Polish.

Yeah, they had a few things that you don't normally find in somewhere like Tescos, but they weren't items of extreme fascination. : )

So I was planning on trying a look around this weekend, but I sprained my ankle Friday. I'll need to add this to the list of quests to reactivate.

Visited the thriftshop around the corner yesterday. They didn't really have anything interesting but still.

Went to a clothes store I had never been for. Did not buy anything but saw some jumpers I may go back for. Clothes strores are alien worlds to me.

Round the corner from a cakery i sometimes get lunch at, there is a florist. Being a huge lover of flowers, I've often stopped and spent some time looking at the flowers outside the shop, but I'd never actually been in - personally I prefer my flowers still attached to plants in the ground, so I'd never had a particular reason to go in.

But yesterday I went inside, and I'm very glad I did - wall to wall, on displays all over the floor, and all around the counter (so much that transactions would lead to pollen on your sleeve) - I was in awe, it was the kind of epic that a flower enthusiast experiences from a lovingly maintained garden or the fields of flowers on the rolling hills of the English countryside that seem to stretch to the horizon.

I got chatting to the woman behind the counter, someone it turns out (probably obviously) as botany-nerdy as myself, and walked away with her phone number.

Oh hey, also like to say that on the impetus from a previous quest (though I'm not spending 1000xp and reactivating it, because I dsidn't write him a letter) I texted an old friend from college (English definition, not university) and we met up for coffee a few days ago. Seems like he's doing ok in life, it was weird catching up and finding that we still had a fair few things in common.

Managed to find time to take a wander round town this morning- unfortunately, it being a Sunday morning, not much was open. In any case, I'm a man of pretty simple tastes and there wasn't much I saw of interest. There was, however a craft market on in town for people making ceramics- lot of it was very pretty, but not particularly to my tastes. Ah well, at least I got some fresh air.

I'm currently at the Maritime Museum in Halifax. Technically my second time here, but the first was in January when everything was shuttered up and some of the boats were gone. It's a much different experience on a nice spring day.

We went into the local Bike and fitness shop, had a great conversation, with one of the employees about my idea to do desert bike for hope in a couple years and they were very encouraging and said they would be willing to work with me for some type of sponsorship for shipping and or to borrow gear like saddle bags or racks if I kept up with them.

We also purchased a tredmil
