Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
If Kurt Angle ever comes back I could see him reforming The World's Greates Tag Team with American Alpha.
Botchamania chant was funny.
Zayn vs Nakamura has to be an easy win for match of the year.
Asuka vs Bayley had a tough act to follow (crowd wasn't too into it in terms of chanting), it was more technical and slow pace. Didn't think the match would end when it did.
Balor and Joe was good for the "Fuck PG" chants. Very brutal looking match too.

Ugh, I got home too late to watch Mania today. Avoiding spoilers on social media is going to be a bitch.

Spoiler-free Mania thoughts: It could have been a lot better, and I really can't wait for Smarkamania Raw tonight.

I regret staying up to watch Wrestlemania to be honest. Staying up until after 5am was just not worth it.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
I wasn't expecting a 5 hour show. It had some good points to it but I did prefer Takeover to it. I think it may be due to being able to hear the crowd in the smaller arena.

I will copy my tweet:
Finally finished watching Wrestlemania. There was some good wrestling, and some confusing results.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
I was wrong about literally every prediction I made the day before except for the result of the Heavyweight Championship. That said, on the whole I enjoyed the show. Many quibbles, but on average enjoyment.
Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
Seems like it was a decent Raw last night, hasn't convinced me to resubscribe to the network though.
Cesaro returned, AJ is #1 contender, Enzo and Big Cass debut on the main roster, same for Apollo Crews and (officially) Corbin.
Ryder lost his title already. From the sounds of things, Roman was booed out of the building again.

Watched it in the pub and had a few too many beers. I remember most of the matches being interesting. Loved the New Day match and HIAC.

The E&C promo was great. You could hear him winning over the whole crowd.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
I'm withholding judgment on Zack Ryder's sub-24 hour title reign until we see everything unfold. If this leads to a prolonged feud with The Miz, where he eventually does get the title back, and then goes on to have a respectable reign with it, I have no problems.
But if he immediately loses (or doesn't even get) a rematch, The Miz moves on and the whole reign is swept under the rug... I have several problems.

The Vaudevillians debuted on Smackdown, bringing the number of NXT call ups to 6. Somewhat surprised Finn wasn't called up, has me wondering what way Gallows and Anderson will arrive, NXT or main roster.

I'm wondering when Bayley will debut on the main roster myself.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
Raw spoilers from last night: So it finally happened, and Machine Gun Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows debuted, attacking the Usos. Used their Magic Killer tag team finisher on Uso #1 (I'm not sure if it was left or right Uso), and then laid the other one out on the outside. No hints if they'll help AJ, though attacking Reigns family might be a hint at that, or if they are there to set up a Balor call up.

Multiple people on Twitter passing along the word that ECW original Balls Mahoney has passed away the day after his 44th birthday. Damn, the extreme part of the nineties was fun, but it seems to have also shortened a lot of lives after the fact.

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
I was saddened to hear that, and another one so young.
Edit: And I see stories going that Bray Wyatt injured in a match against Reigns at a house show in Milan. Someone in attendance said he slipped and seemed to hurt his knee or ankle, had to be taken backstage cause he couldn't finish the match. Doesn't seem as bad as Harper, he had to be helped backstage but he was able to walk a bit on his own at least.

At least Bray Wyatt can be involved in storyline heat without actively wrestling. Let the Family fight at his command
Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread
WWE confirmed it, some sort of calf injury. Doesn't say how bad it is, so might not miss too much.

I think Bray had something similar last year.

Most of the news is saying she was 46, but her birthday was in December...

I was expecting that. I knew her life had taken a massive downward spiral with all the disjointed interviews, youtube videos and rape accusation she made against Triple H (which X-Pac called her out on as a lie). Early death, nope.
I wonder if this will affect plans of not inducting her into the HOF because of her porn career.

The retrospective Don Tony and Kevin Castle Show will do next Monday should be interesting. They were critics of her bizarre wayward actions.
