I did not know this before, but apparently, there is a way to allow a closed Google+ community (like, one that is invite only) to add Closed Captions to a channel's Youtube videos. And since automated closed captions are complete nonsense garbage, this seams like a reasonable way to crowdsource CCing videos.
The Brain Scoop youtube channel does this. (This is the community they use: https://plus.google.com/communities/103992024660066822927. I'm not sure how they set it up.)
I know a lot of the old Feed Dumps aren't up on Youtube, but we do have some transcripts for some of the newer ones, and since there is an effort to provide transcripts for all of them on the wiki (something I still want to do) would people be interested in having them as Closed Captions as well? I feel like having some amount of LRR's content be accessible to hearing-impared users would be cool. Is this something we should do?
I guess this is more a question for the Crew... but would people be interested in this being a thing?

We could also try it on Crapshots, which would be a much smaller time investment.

Re: Closed Captioning on Youtube Videos...
I was looking at the transcript section of the wiki this week and was kind of planning to contribute to that once I have some big chunks of time. Combining that with a closed caption effort on Youtube seems like a great idea.
