Are you Canadian? (Already living here.)
Show of hands, who lives in Canada right now? Which province? Of course we know LRR is Canadian but seems it may be of interest to know of other people on forum that also live in this beautiful country that is America's hat.
I'm in Canada in the province of Ontario...spending much of my time in Toronto where I studied some art and digital media production.
(Please direct immigration related topics to threads that handle that specifically...mostly because it's not as easy as it looks to just up and move here on a whim so that deserves to be placed on threads with that specific aim.)

I go back and forth between Victoria and it's surrounding cities and Washington where my sister lives, but I don't have Canadian citizenship. My wife has duel citizenship though.

I've visited Vancouver and Niagara Falls. That's about as close as I've gotten.

Oops. I accidentally answered the poll, without realising that was for people already living in Canada. Sorry.
I know we're supposed to avoid immigration, but there is a pretty good (I'd say 80%ish) chance that I'll be studying in Canada next year, as I've only applied to one MA course, and that's in Prince Edward Island. So I'll either be there, or have a massive scramble to work out what to do with my life.

You don't have to be Canadian to answer the poll question.
Also good luck reading through the threads about that and prepping for how complicated it can get. I'd say choose a field you know is in demand here with a shortage of Canadian workers if you think you really want to end up here...also save up $30000+ in the event you don't have a sponsor or someone you can marry that is already a Canadian...which has been stated in at least one of the applicable threads. You can PM me if you have response to this so it doesn't become a topic changer.

I have never even been to Canada, although I hope to visit some day.

Re: Are you Canadian? (Already living here.)
I live in a little ways outside of Vancouver (far enough that I don't go there often, close enough I can take a day trip) and have my whole life. These days, I do spend about a quarter of my time south of the border too, since my girlfriend lives in Tacoma.
I do find it interesting that LRR seems to have a disproportionately higher number of Canadian fans than most things online. Obvious there are a few cases here where it's a result of people actually knowing the crew, but there are also lots of us who found them the same sort of way we would any other Internet media, but stuck around. I wonder if some aspect of that is the Canadian sensibilities, or even just a sense of being a bit more invested in LRR from the get-go stemming from a shared nationality.

I'll answer this like I do with most LRR-related discussions that end up asking where I live:
"Unfortunately, as far as it is possible to be from LRR and still be in Canada."
province of Newfoundland & Labrador

I currently live in Toronto, Ontario. Though I'm really hoping I can persuade my fiancé to move. I really don't like Ontario. It's too damn cold and there's not enough snow.

...Not enough snow?....It just snowed again here. I suggest Montreal if you like tones of the snow...but it's cold there too.

There's still a snow mound taller than I am in my front yard. Would that be enough snow for you?

Re: Are you Canadian? (Already living here.)
When I was a child I remember making couches out of the snow drifts and watching the planes take off (lived on an air base in Nova Scotia). This year it was too cold (-35) and we got at most 30 cm of snow in Toronto. I want to have the 5-6 feet of snow again. Also not having the -35 for 2 months would be nice.

Moving to Vancouver or Victoria is tempting even without a job lined up. Really the only thing stopping me is the thought of living out of a suitcase for a month or two while trying to find a place to live.

Wait sorry, I forgot this was only for people even considering moving to Canada. My bad.

I hail from Saskatoon but I'm taking film courses here in Vancouver. I will probably be living out here for the rest of my life.

Re: Are you Canadian? (Already living here.)
I wish I could Canada. I've wanted to move to Victoria ever since my mom and stepdad talked about getting a place in Nanaimo many years ago (they never did; stayed in Kamloops, where he's from). I think I'd love the weather up there.
If I can't get in the country, maybe I'll end up someplace like Seattle. Weather's probably pretty similar there.

I live in Fredericton New Brunswick. Aka, the crappiest province in Canada. Seriously the province is a glorified scrip town
