The post office was closed today?? Like I know it's just for the school and they only have two employees but I feel like it's their obligation to keep it open. I guess I'm going first thing in the morning then.

My parcel turned up yesterday.
Edit: Mine is now (finally) sent. Hopefully I didn't mix up the cards; I had another parcel to send today.

Neither! Or possibly both. Either way, my package hit the mail today so it should arrive with time to spare.Elomin Sha wrote:Frocks or petticoats?

My original gift idea fell through. I've ordered something else and hope to have things shipped by the end of the week. Now lets hope I'm not gifting something the receiver already has...

I just gotta finish wrapping mine and then send it. Maybe grab a card too. Luckily I work close to a major shopping centre in the city.

Ran into a few hiccups but I'm almost done. I don't know if it will make it for Christmas but if it doesn't I hope it will make up for it by being awesome! I think my Santee will really like it

It is now in the somewhat capable hands of Canada Post. Hopefully it arrives in time.

Re: Sixth Annual Secret Santa: Sign Ups Now Closed
I received my gift! I'm really excited! Thank you, Secret Santa!
My gift is an Acadian book, which came with a nice postcard detailing the adventures of obtaining it. I'll let you know more after I read it and tell you what the book itself is like!

Re: Sixth Annual Secret Santa: Sign Ups Now Closed
I just remembered that I never posted an update saying that mine was in the mail!
... and then that reminded me that I forgot to put my forum name in the package in any way.
Once you receive your present I would be happy to drop you a hint that it was me if you fancy.

Ohhhh yeah people were saying when they put things in the mail. Well I'm pretty sure my name is in there, so hopefully if my Santee already got it they still know it's me.

I thought one wasn't meant to put their name on it, so it was a secret until everyone has received their gifts and there's the big after-Christmas reveal? D:

Oh, I don't actually know. I've always put my name on mine, so I assumed that's what people did, but I might be completely wrong.

Re: Sixth Annual Secret Santa: Sign Ups Now Closed
This is my first time participating in secret santa, so I don't know. I just got the impression that people tried to keep who they were secret, or it might just be the santees doing it as to not reveal it too early. Either way, it's not like it's a big deal.

Everyone was supposed to include their forum name, but not announce to whom who they sent their gift, or from whom they received one.

Re: Sixth Annual Secret Santa: Sign Ups Now Closed
Eee, mine arrived today (and not a moment too soon; I gave IX's work address since we can't receive packages at the apartment and we're travelling to his parents' for the weekend). I love it! I was a bit confused by the name on the return address but guessed by the mailing address
I'll get pictures later on, but for now I'll say that it's posed on my computer watching me work and it's the best. I've decided it's agender leaning feminine, and have named it Kazul after the relevant character from Patricia C. Wrede's series.

Hmmmm. Something reads a little fishy
Gotta appreciate the shiny golden paper. Toes got a little in the shot there, sorry.
Decided to open the diddy one first. I have no idea what the Wizards of Waverly Place is, I guess I need to buy a Nintendo DS?
What a wonderful haul! Charlie Brown stickers, Junior Mints (I knew it! ) Wizards game (Is this like Sabrina the Teenage Witch? How is that a game? I'll get around to looking it up on Youtube at some point), Some sort of Digimon, a Johnny Mnemonic mug, a Frozen keychain (I may have to Let It Go, I have nieces who'll love it), a whole ream of magnetic data tape, a CD boxset sequel to Perfect Dark, which I admit I've never played, and Monsuno cards, which is something about Monsuno DNA mutating normal creatures, the advert I saw for the anime series was very shouty. I'll see how they play at some point.
I just realised, I put more effort into researching Monsuno than the Wizards thing, I'll rectify that shortly after submitting this. Thank you Secret Santa!
