When they show Paris on telly it's always the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre (the sculpture out front at least). Never the Gare du Nord, all full of beggars and bird shit. Funny that.
Reminded of that this evening waiting for kick off. Had a whole state of the nation address type post lined up there touching on France looking dodgy despite the win, the EU referendum, God Save the Queen vs Jerusalem Land of Hope and Glory, Hong Kong's relationship with the Big Green but you know so many avenues of thought and so little focus. Methinks better keep it pithy and the way Paris demands we see the Mona Lisa Overdrive while leaving the banlieues lying around in plain sight is a more universally relatable topic.
