Bully... Completed

Postby Tensen01 » 09 Dec 2006, 15:58

Okay, so I just finished playing Bully and I have to say...

Kick Ass!! I can't think of the last game I played that was so much fun, let alone that I played all the way through.

The story is solid, the voice-acting is great, and all the graphics rule. I've rarely had a game engage me so much that I couldn't wait to see where the story is going.

Definite replay value. I finished the storline and I'm still only 78% of the way to completing the game. That is damn cool.

The whole thing is damn cool.

I want to beat that game so badly, but there's this Final Fantasy 12 staring at me.

"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

You and me both. I was planning to finally read that Roger Penrose book over the holidays, but it looks like instead I'm going be assuming the role of a sword-wielding, gay Aladdin in a quest for magic rocks.

Well, just to beat the storline and probably half the side missions took about... 20-25 hours I think, possibly more, but no less... I didn't time it, it was spread out over a couple weeks

How could you dislike what is basically Vagrant Story 2?

It's by the same team as well, hence having everything down to the same map room naming style. I really haven't been able to put it down since I got it for anything less important than school or pretty girls.

My only beefs are the slight character imbalance issues. I'm about thirty hours in, I dropped all my LP into more melee damage and spell efficiency, and I haven't bought half the spells or a single technick during the entire game. I just basically one-shot every wandering monster and I've meleed every single boss to death.

I'm not sure how close I am to the end, though, so it might even out in time.

Just answer me one thing: is the goal to BE the bully, or BEAT UP the bullies?

Twilight Princess is DOPE. As soon as I'm done grinding school (and I guess after Tally goes home to Kansas for the holidatys) I'm gonna lock myself in my room and play with my Wii until it's finished. I'm already at 30+ hours.

Kind of both. You get dropped into sort of the mid-range of the school heirarchy. There are nerdier, wimpier dudes for you to push around, but you get your own share from all the huge, older jocks hanging out by the gym and the auto shop.

Well, basically you're a kid who's been kicked out of every school and now ends up being the one picked on.

Soon his plan becomes to get all the different groups under his rule so that they'll stop being at each others throats.

So you do bully, but in an effort to stop the school-wide rivalries.

It makes much more sense in-game.

But it's not ALL about Bullying. You help out the various groups and can go to classes, and do errands for cash and help out teachers and run around the carnival. It's very well done.

Game Enforcer gave it am 8.5/8.75 and IGN gave it an 8.9

That line right there (^) is why I don't like the name. But unfortunately no one else hardly knows it was called the Revolution at one time. And on the Zelda note, I need to play that SO BADLY!!! I'm most likely not getting it for Christmas because of finacial issues and in-store stocking issues but I at least need to find a GameStop or something and try it. >_< I needs it bad.

And kiss guys!
Actually blackdragontaz, most people you'll find on the internets know it was called the Revolution.

Jer, I'm sure you'll play with your Wii day and night. (Horribly overused joke, I know, but it had to be said.)
