Firefly MMOG

Now, if they do a good job this game I'd actually pay to play.

My only major concern is that it looks like all the dealings have gone through Fox and Joss & Tim aren't actually involved at all.

But the company who's doing it appears to be full of Browncoats so here's hoping.

Yes, because I'm going to realize a thread I've not read entitled "Oh Shit" is gonna be about this.

It's true.
Everytime I look at the forum I completely forget what is in the "Oh Shit" thread. Then I read it, and realize I am not excited by it. Repeat.

Oh, Graham, Morgan, that hurts. Have you folk even watched Firefly?

If so, and if you didn't like it, you are obviously tools of the devil, Stan. The exorcists should be over at two o'clock tomorrow. Tata!

I commend the retitling of this thread. I see the "Oh shit" one and click on it despondently until I remember it's about the best TV show ever. Coming back. In its own new form.

I'm pretty excited!

I think they know what Firefly is, but they just couldn't remember what the thread was.

We introduced a friend of mine to Firefly. We went through the whole thing, and she said she really enjoyed it. Then we were talking about tv shows and she said that although Firefly was good, Alias was just a better show.

That was when I threw my hands in the air and shouted "WHY, IN GODS NAME, WHY?"

But Graham said that he sees it and realizes he isn't excited by it. That saddens me.

Firefly is awesome, but I'm not batshit loco for it.
I also don't play MMOs.

Soooo, it's not a big deal for me.

Exactly. Firefly would not work as an MMO, because it was a character-driven show.

It was a character driven show, but it still had an amazing world created around it. The highly civilized core planets and the barren outer planets, the actual locations on those specific planets, the 'floaty islands,' etc. There are many creative and interesting places. There are also different types of people. There are the winners and the losers, the thieves, the Companions, the wealthy, the poor...

Do you think you could get a character of the blue-hands? Because it would be awesome to just run around a game making the other characters bleed out of their orifices.
