We are polite because a lot of us are from Canada, the land of politeness. Also, LRR is based out of Victoria, and I shit you not, the people in Victoria are the nicest people I have ever met in my entire life. Even when driving, the people are shocklingly nice.

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

Relatively peaceful, environmentally-sound nations of Native Americans.

The apostrophe is your friend! Seriously, the above makes no sense when you read things as "were" when they are meant to be "we're", or "we are", even.

What kind of man can consider a Barbarian polite. Truly you must come from the curs of the Aesir of Vanir.

However, if I have been untowardly welcoming to you, it is because I always treat ladies with repect, so long as they do nothing to lose it.
Hither came Conan the Cimmerian: black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer.

What?

You just type in an apostrophe. It's not that hard.

Maybe your unwillingness to respect the english language is the reason people are rude to you on other forums.

Well thanks!
I guess sketch comedy that isn't (always) about butts and such attracts a more refined forum goer.
At least that's what I tell myself.

Well, I'll piggyback on another new person saying hello and insinuate myself into the conversation.

Hi! I'm from Juneau, a short but almost Satanically inconvenient trip from Victoria, or in fact from any other location on the globe.

The LRR crew must be made of solid, unfiltered awesome. Y'all are one of the high points of the Intertubes. I hope you guys enjoy doing this for many, many more years to come.

You also get a giant collective meta-cookie for making fun of our Senator. Thank you.

Thanks Sable! Welcome to the fun.

Your state is awesome and your senator is insane. Your pan-handle should also be part of BC, but we won't hold it against you.

live/work/play in. :D

I can't believe you said that about Toronto though... don't you remember their last game against the Sabres @ home? THEY started the fight! (which took me asking "are you sure?" 8 times to believe it). ;)

I must agree on the Victoria being the most polite place on earth bit. The hobos are polite.

The hobos. Here in vancouver some of the one's I've encountered I would actually use the word feral.

One of them in Victoria actually called me "Guv'na," I shit you not.
All hail the great deku tree!
