Do the funky robot... Now on version 2

Postby Patch » 08 Feb 2007, 11:03

Ok, so after a little work, the LRR IRC bot is now on it's second coming (Kinda like Jesus, but different. You know.... the bot actually exists...)

New for this coming is the switch over to the DreamBOT system, with a few additions..

New stuff (that totally works, and won't fucking crash my PC...):
Weather
Calculator
Time
Date

Old Stuff (Stuff that was ported over from the old TatBOT system)
8ball
Trivia

Beta stuff (be careful with this. It might crash my PC...)
Google search.
Unscramble.

Still need some questions, or 8ball responses. Mail them to [email protected], and I'll put them into it :)

You know, we really don't need a google search or a calculator or the weather. I mean, we are obviously all on the computer. We can just use the internet.

The bot is never finished, so things like that I can remove. They serve the same function as the ones in MSN, ie, you'll very rarely use them, but they're useful at some point. When you find that point, then you'll want them.

Either way, they're not actually using any CPU time, and they'll never actually run unless someone tells the bot to do it. If no one tells the bot to do it, then it wont.

And Mouse. I'll bash whatever religion I want, no matter who actually believes in them. Religion by definition is the belief in a fictional person/people, and/or event(s). You don't like people bashing religion? Then I suggest you stay off the internet...

Does picking on children over the internet make you feel like a big man?

Come on, admit it.

Not really, it's that the internet by nature contains the most deprived, offensive nature known to man. Those of a weak volition, or of a politically correct nature, should keep 3 worlds away from the internets at all time

Its only that way because people keep justifying it being that way! Which is retarded!

Deprived of basic language skills? I think you mean depraved.

Also, that's an argument that I will entitle the "I'm just going to keep walking and swinging my arms and if you get in the way it's your fault" argument.

I disagree wholeheartedly. I'd say that the largest part of the Internet, as a whole, is still research / education-focused, probably with another equally large part being commercial. Then you've got the social sector, which might by virtue of "everyone has an opinion" be offensive to someone somewhere at any given point, but still isn't necessarily offense-driven.

The parts of the Internet that you go to may be depraved and offensive, but your sample set is not necessarily representative of the entire body.

Arguing over the internet is like the Special Olympics. Whether you win or lose, you're still retarded.

And now I will go put that in the quote thread.

Put the Trivia back to the other list of games/movies/stuff, no one can get this awkward list of 5000 questions.
