I guess I made an album or something?

Postby The Hitman » 13 Feb 2007, 18:52

Yeah, your guess is as good as mine. Maybe I was drunk, but whatever the reason, I appear to have acquired guitars, keyboards, mandolins, bass guitars, drums, microphones and a piano and recorded some kind of album.

A concept album. It has anachronism.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, I present some music perfect for those who secretly fear dying alone. Some bits of it are up at: http://www.myspace.com/chrisbwhitman

MySpace encoding pretty much crushes the shit out of it, but some people might still find it kind of enjoyable. The rest of it lives on my harddrive. I might someday put it up somewhere.

Not too shabby. Very chill, which, oddly enough, is exactly what I have been listening to these past few days (which is rare for me). I like it!

Did you do it all by your lonesome?

I love the lyrical progression "The Crumbling Hall", the way it flows.

Thanks, guys!

Yeah, I play all the instruments on the album, and do the singing and various harmonies/backing vocals.

I do have a finished album, with the exception of a few overdubs I would like to do, given the time, and a bit of mixing to even out the track compression. I also have no album art or liner notes, however, so if I was going to do a release, I would probably want to put that stuff together. I may work on finishing that if there is enough interest.

I also have one or two songs for a metal side project, but I've only done the instrument parts because I can't do metal vocals very well. I've been working on drumming up a vocalist, but most of the people who I know who could do it are pretty busy. So far I've written a song about robots in the future and a song about heavy metal Jesus fighting lava men in the center of the Earth.

I think I would like to do a dance album next.

Well, when you get it done let us know.

And if you need album art I'm willing to offer my services. Not that my art is very album cover-y. But I've done some designs for others

Chris, get on pimping this shit out. So good, and on my iPod. I like inferno, but I am a sucker for any kind of guitar solo, and the inferno one is quite nice!

We like to hang out, and rent awful movies.
Then giggle at them.
Pretend to hate them.
And then take them back, and discover, we actually loved the movie.

Operation Megaforce is in the works.

Operation Firestorm has already been completed.

Yeah, I tried really hard to restrain myself for any solo parts. The metal songs have a lot more deedly-deedly-deedly-bwaaaaah parts, but of course there are no vocals for those.

If you release this I will pay actual money for this. And as I have a decent computer and a good internet connection this is saying a lot.

Yeah. Chris I don't even know you, but you rock.

Chris Whitman has 0 friends.

Hee hee.

This stuff is really quite good. You should release a CD. Like, for people to buy.

(edit) No One Hears You is my favorite.
