I was talking about the fact that he said he didn't know if we had Starbucks in Canada.

Seriously. There are like eight million of them worldwide. NO JOKE.

If it was something other than coffee this might be worth it. Otherwise, no.

Too bad it's Starbucks, or I'd be all over that. I hate their coffee. But then, I have discovered delicious organic fair-trade whole-bean coffee, which is pretty much the best coffee ever. Seriously.

I like tea! I drank five pots one day last week. It was awesome.

First of all starbucks is probably the root of all evil. Their coffee is terrible AND we have two starbuckses within a block of each other here. It disgusts me to no end.

I myself don't like coffee. The only thing that I like at Starbucks is the Hot Cocoa. I'm more into tea and Dr. Pepper :).

I don't think they have Starbucks in Ireland...at least, I never saw one while I was there, not even in Dublin. It was a nice break for me, the year that I lived there, as I am otherwise a rampant Starbucks-oholic. It's not necessarily because the coffee is good (although I do enjoy their frappuccinos), and it's certainly not because I'd rather support massive businesses than locally-owned small businesses. It's that there is a Starbucks within five minutes walking distance of EVERYWHERE in my life (except at UVic).

Apparently, if you're looking to buy a house, the best way to pick a neighbourhood is to find where a new Starbucks is going to be opened. I've heard they put a lot of consideration into choosing locations, and if a Starbucks is opening somewhere, chances are the neighbourhood's on the rise!

Hmm I don't think that Starbucks should be considered evil at all...I'm pretty sure they are franchised which means that local people(usually) or at least canadian people own the ones here. also they pay for some of their employees to go around the world and do good works. Some companys don't do anything to give back.

I think you're right. I don't drink coffee, though, so I didn't really miss it... but I do drink hot chocolate, and there were these AMAZING chocolate stores on pretty much every corner - I saw like eight of them when I walked around Dublin - and they made the most delicious hot chocolate in the world...
