Chinese Zodiac
Being openminded is good - it's the willingness to reconsider conclusions and not discard new data out-of-hand.
"Believing in the Chinese zodiac" is not an example of openmindedness. It's an example of having low standards for conclusions and the unwillingness to apply reason.
Chinese astrology, like the Western variety, is utter nonsense.

You'll be sleeping a bunch, it's still an activity.
But it's still not a "bunch." A 'bunch of stuff' would imply that they did a lot of different things... or at least things that weren't exactly the same. Sleeping is one thing.

I started writing a post about some critical thinking stuff while trying to escape schoolwork, but it's started turning into an article and taking up too much of my time, so I need to put it down for a bit.
I will post it later for those of you who are interested in that kind of stuff. The rest of you can ignore it, although I'd urge you to read it anyway as it explains a bit of why I get so furious about things like astrology and fake physics.
Also there's some fun stuff about the mathematics of probability and how to critically consider scientific studies!

Come on though, that fortune cookie thing was pretty awesome, and everyone knows that Chris rules the forum. When he goes away, you can see the tumbleweeds of stupid blowing through the place, and when he returns, it is like the return of King Arthur. Only instead of fighting for glory and honour, he is fighting for intelligence.

Well, then Morgan is definitely fourth.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."
"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.
"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."
