Everyone DOES realize that (especially with it's placement in guitar hero, and as a hiaku on the whatever thing) Black Sabbath's Iron Man, will probably be played (if not in it's entirety) either in the background somewhere OR when Iron Man flies off to the final battle of the film. I mean, even if superhero movies have been much better in recent years, they also keep a sense of being tongue in cheek, who knows it could be Stan Lee in some geriatric metal band playing it.

I'm just curious, why no love for the Iron Man song? It's classic and fits so very well. PErhaps it could be that I've never read an Iron Man comic and know what I do of him from various video games.

I just don't think that it would fit very well.

The iron man song has nothing to do with iron man the character. If nothing else, its because iron man(song) was "turned to steel, in the great magnetic field, when he traveled time, for the future of mankind"
and then
"nobody wants him, they just turn their head. (ozzy mumbling) now he plans his revenge"

I'e also noticed on the few occasions that pre-existing music has been used in such a way it kind of takes me out of the movie a bit.

I had that experience recently, but unfortunately I can't remember what movie it was when it happened...

Plus, the music is kind of slow for that. I'd rather have an excellent Score.
