Oh wow.... its been too long since I have seen Japanese T.V. I totally forgot how awesome it is.

The last thing I saw like this was the "Nihonto Vs Pistol" vid and it's sequel "Nihonto Vs 50 cal machinegun". I just loved how overly-dramatic they made it with soundtrack and all. Amazingly the samurai sword cut 6 of the 50 cal bullets in half (proved by high speed photography) before breaking.

When I was in Japan back in May 1993, I swear even commercials about mundane things like furniture were made epic by an overly exited salesman & movie-like soundtracks.

You have a link to the vids you mentioned though? hey sound interesting.

Here's one I saw that I liked. It's a test for cats to see how much a stray cat will lift for food. Its suprisingly a lot! the cats get disqualified if they don't cary the food away. Kinda strange

This wouldn't be the time to point out that I'm half-Japanese then, I guess.

High speed camera footage is great - I've always been fascinated by it. I'd love to get my hands on one and film really mundane things, like my cat pouncing on a laser dot, or smoke rings from my smoke-ring gun.
