Pretty sure Icewolf meant audio equipment, and it is a very expensive hobby.

It's a one-time expense, though.
There's far worse.

Sorry, but ROFLMAO. Audio is like computers, there's always something better coming out. Sure you can keep the same stuff for 5 years, but nobody will be impressed.

I suppose. It really depends on how serious you are. Both home theater systems and computer systems can run you $20000+ if you aim for the top.

Greetings...stay a while and listen.

My name is Tony and I'm new to the LRR forums. I have been visiting this site for quite a long time for some laughs and finally decided to create a forums account.

I'm 25 years old and currently am working towards my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science while minoring in English/Journalism looking for a job in the video game industry with no luck.

Avid gamer with no hate towards specific consoles and ex-moderator of ps3trophies.com

So...yeah that's me I suppose.

Well, this is my first post, so I might as well start in the introduction thread.

So.....

I'm SirDelta, my real name is Eli (I prefer to withhold my lastname), and I live in a tiny town in southeastern Minnesota. To summarize myself, I'm a high school student, and a musician (unfortunately, I can't busk or get a gig because of high school regulations). I play saxophones (mainly of the Baritone and Soprano variety) and sing. I have been lurking the boards and watching LRR videos for about half a year. Before I go any further on introducing myself, I would like to say that I love what you guys and gals are doing, and wish I could do something like it.

That being said...

Life in small town Minnesota is boring, and I keep myself entertained through my saxophones, computer, reaadings, and other such things. I'm interested in parkour and plan to start learning that this summer. I''m a member of my school's drama club, and consider myself (and am considered by the others) one of the better improvers in our school. It should also be said that I love Phantasy Star Online, and have over 120 hours invested into my characters. In addition to those things, I am on my school's speech team in the Creative Expression catagory, and write hmorous pieces. I'm also an amatuer composer and short story writer.

So...

That's me in a nutshell. If you have questions, I'm happy to answer, and I hope we'll all get along.
What if there were no hypothetical questions?

Hi everyone, I'm Graeme Jones from Richmond BC, across da waters from LRR. I am a mid-gen computer CRPGer who grew up on Duke Nukem, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Fallout, Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft, and Star Wars flight sims. I also identify myself as a RPGer since I do play a few different pen and paper RPG systems. I own no consoles, as I am part of the Computer Gaming Master Race! I'm a forth year Classical History student at the University of British Columbia, so yes: I pretend to be stuck up and British whenever I can.

And Graham Stark...There can be only one!

If you claim that there can be only one, I think you'll find that one is Graham Stark, and not you.

But welcome to LRR, at any rate.

Hello There!

My Name is Mitch Buehler, I'm a 21 year old geek from Kitchener, Ontario.

I first found out about LRR during DesertBus09, At first i was confused, but then i realized i had been sitting watching the live feed for 8 GOD DAMN FUCKING HOURS. From there i've watched a multitude of the archive, listened to a many of LRRcasts and followed nearly all of the LRRcrew on twitter. I figured the next best step in getting involved in the LRR community is to join the forum, so here i am.

I take interest to the general geeky things in life, computers, video games, etc.

I am currently employed as a Projectionist at a movie theatre, whilst i am attending Conestoga College for the Industrial Electrical Technician diploma program.

Hobbies of mine include Photography, Film production and General Geekery.

In the Gaming sector, i was mostly a console guy until i discovered the magic of REAL gaming on a PC, and how easily i can spend money on Steam. I still use my xbox 360 every so often. Games i really dig: TF2, L4D1&2, Mass Effect Series, Halos, Borderlands, and am currently anticipating the release of Just Cause 2.

I'm also an avid follower of the San-Fran Web 2.0 Tech journalist types.

I look forward to interacting with this community!

Catch Ya Later!

Hey all!

I'm Kirsten, aka Kirkygirl or l_croft depending on if the first name is taken or if I've pinged out in the IRC chat.
So I live in a suburb of Victoria, and I've hung out with the LRR crew a few times when they've had DB '08 and '09. I'm a bit shy and socially awkward, but I'm getting better.
I'm currently studying to be a massage therapist and I should be done by April '11. I can be a geek at times but I'm not as big as a geek of computers as I am about the human body. Hey, you get that much info in your head, you can't help but spew it all out when someone asks.

Hello, and welcome to the forums.

Shyness and social difficulty just comes with the territory. What you need is other, similar people, such as the good folks here, to get over that barrier.

Hiii :)

My name's Beverley and I am from Cardiff, Wales. I've been a regular at this site for about 3 years and decided it was about time I got on to the forums! :)

I'm 20 years old, and am currently training to be a Primary School Teacher and should be graduating next year *fingers crossed*

My birthday falls on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, hence why my first ever LRR video was "How to Talk Like a Pirate" and I reeeeeeeeally miss "The Whatever Thing" videos Morgan and Graham used to do... *cries* But during DesertBus this year Morgan promised to start doing them again if someone donated $10,000! Sadly, I couldn't come up with the money... *cries harder*

So that's pretty much it from me! Thanks! <3
