I suppose, since I've posting here for a week or so, I should introduce myself!

I am Emma! I am from Toronto, but I'm in my first year at UofGuelph. I am not *too* much of a geek, but I suppose I could be...

Also, I think I'm a hampire generation. I remember that being the first one I saw. I've been watching the videos for a while but just joined the forums.
My brother's roommate introduced me to the site and now I am addicted ^_^

Seriously. We need an LRRics Anonymous or something. I'd totally attend.

Ditto. :P

Pleasure to meet ya Emma.

Well, since everyones saying their generation, I'm from the 'The Bet' and 'Kei Kon 05' generation. (Yes, every video is a generation now. Amazing, no?)

I'm from the 'helping these jerks with their Japanese homework' generation.

Ah, memories.

chris, you may have forgotten this, but you're actually even more old school than that. i met you fully a year before i met graham... it was in drama 8/9. i was in grade 8. so you're from the i've-known-these-fuckers-for-ten-years generation.

[edit] oh shits! i just gave away how old i am...

Ha I met Graham when we were in elementry school. But when it comes to LLR I am in the Door to Door generation.

Also thanks to the power of old high school year books I know what you looked like in grade 11 (10 in Graham's case)

Man, I remember that class. We found a place in the room where you could effecively barricade yourself in and hide, and we managed to avoid the majority of the work entirely by virtue of concealment.

Since he has explicitly mentioned his age in previous threads, it's a particularly absurd concern on his part.

Actually, no.

I don't remember who we had as a teacher, but I specifically remember it being someone else.

Maybe it was Drew.

My memory's not what it used to be.

(No idea what everybody is talking about, but...)

Hi, I'm Tobi (actually didn't even try that name as a nick, it's almost always already taken...)
I'm actually from the pirate generation, too.
Came from /. and got stuck here.
But didn't bother to register up to yesterday.
Today actually, but I had some good hours of sleep inbetween, so it's yesterday, too.

I'm from Germany (that's a lot of bothering timezones, yes) and wear a moustache.
I like alliterations, Firefly and Heavy Metal.

Are there more obscure things that (don't) characterise me?
Probably.

You're going to be my friend. German and Metal. Do ya like Rammstein?
I'm half-german. Do you speak it?

Welcome :D

Rammstein are cool.
Not exactly what I hear regularly but I like them anyway.
It's really hard to find bands with good german lyrics!

And yes, I speak German, never spent more than a few weeks out of this (quite okay) country, so what else should I speak? ; )

Though... I wouldn't actually know how to say "Fire in the hole" in German without saying either something completely different or use some distorting literal translation.
What did they say in CS, Toaster?

So you Germans learn english, eh? I remember someone I knew from Germany, my mom's old friend (my parents lived there for a while). He came to America when he was in like, 5th grade, and he actually spoke pretty good english.

I wish I knew another language, and I greatly admire anyone who is more than monolingual.

"Bombe im Raum", makes some sense.
But only very little
(It means "Bomb in the room", not something that would make me jump for cover ; ) )

Yeah, we learn one foreign language from 5th grade on, mostly English, though you can learn virtually anything you want if your school offers it (Spanish and Latin are favourites here) and another one in 7th grade, usually French or Latin (but I know people learning Japanese or Russian, again it's up to what the school offers).
There is actually, since a few years, so called bi-lingual education in some schools, teaching some subjects in English and some in German.

I took the easy way, learned English and French. I graduated in English but speak almost no French anymore ^^

No, I once tried to read his books, but he writes in a boring style.
Which is the exact opposite of Joss Whedon's style ; )
