Saturday Morning Cartoons
recently started watching "Pirates Of Darkwater" again and I'm feeling all nostalgic and I'm curious to know what your favorite Saturday Morning Cartoon was.
I do realize that not everyone is as old as me so yours may not be on the list.
Just click other and mention yours in a post
I'll hafta mull over them before I decide mine

Totally smurfed out the smurfs. And there are definitely a few others but i can't remember them.
As for the TMNT, they opened up a Cereality cafe in State College, and so I decided to get some cereal and watch cartoons. So I sat in my bar height chair at the table and ate a mix of kix and miniwheats with marshmallows and Reece's Pieces (no milk, hate soggy cereeal), and proceded to watch TMNT on the flat screen.
SOOOOOOOO awesome.

Voltron
Though it was on after school, my favorite cartoon growing up was Voltron. It was on when I was 6 or 7 years old, and I watched it every day. I think it is one of those shows that probably is better in my mind than it actually was, but man, it rocked.

I voted for TMNT because it was biggest obsession way back when (though, I've had no compulsion to see any of the recent remakes).
These weren't listed but I'm nostalgic for Super Mario Brothers Super Show, Voltron as above, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Gumby (if you consider that a cartoon), and...aaaaah, I have the song to Duck Tales stuck in my head!
Growing up back in my country, we got cartoons from several decades all at once due to the networks' acquisition practices so I got an exposure to quite the gamut of shows (I even got to watch the 1940's "Fleischer" Superman Cartoons as a kid).
P.S. Astroboy + tokusatsu

To LRR is human.
So, apprently I'm a bit younger than everyone else. I did watch Captain Planet and Superfriends, though. But I did grow up more with that whole "One Satuday Morning" thing and classic Bugs Bunny cartoons

JACKIE FRIGGIN CHAN FRIGGIN ADVENTURES!!!!
Didn't that get cancelled like three years ago? I'm thinking that's a little too recent for the spirit of this thread.
As for my favorite Saturday morning cartoon, no question: Captain N, The Gamemaster.
It should be noted that that half of the cartoons on that list (Thundercats, GI Joe, TMNT, Silverhawks and He-Man) were all after-school shows.
Of the ones presented there, I would definitely vote for X-Men.

DuckTales was a great show. I still remember the storyline that began with the competition to see who had the most money (winner would get sole rights to distribute the glowing lightbulb fruit that guy found growing under his stairs) and ended with the nephews raising the Lost City of Atlantis and flying it to the giant scales with helium balloons.
Good times.
Good times.
I require a dance of intellect. Put on your thinking shoes!
Dance with us, LRR! Dance with us into oblivion!
Do not question me! I control your arms!

I think that we just need to agree that we all saw the same cartoons in our childhood, but we saw them at different times. I too remember Tiny Toons and Animaniacs in the afternoons, but I recall seeing Doug in the evenings, usually while the news was on. Then when I got older, when 1 Saturday Morning came on with The Weekenders, Pepper Ann, Brand Spanking New Doug, and Recess (which, with the exception of BSND rocked my pre-teen world), more cartoons came on during the day than on Saturday Morning.
Long post short, I love Cartoons.
PS. If you remember any of those cartoons, let me know. Cuz you are awesome.
