What's your poison?

This is the range of drinks I rely on to keep me wired when I need to be. The newcomer on the far right is really something to behold - I've had half of one tonight and I'm wide awake posting this at 6:00AM.

Anyone tried any of these, or others?

I've had all of those, a million times. I prefer the Rockstar/Monster type drinks.

Taste wise, my favorite, by far, is Mountain Dew AMP. They sell it in three sizes now: 8oz, 12oz "tall boy" and 24oz "big rig". It's friggin awesome. I also really like Red Bull, which is funny, because I used to HATE it, but I went to a LAN event and won a case of the stuff, and started drinking it, and now I love it.

What's strange is that Mountain Dew has both AMP and MDX. MDX is good, but AMP is king.

I had a sugar free Sobe Adrenaline Rush last weekend and that stuff rocked. It seems most of the time when I have energy drinks I don't really notice much effect, but not this time. I need more. I need more right now.

Dr. Pepper or Pepsi as far as soda goes. For energy, I go with AMP most of the time (Yes, Wraith, yes!) it is the king of energy drinks, for it tastes delicious. Vault is actually very good as well, though, lots of Caffeine to give me energy and very tasty.

Alex, that stuff on the far right: isn't that the energy drink that like, doesn't have a crash? And doesn't it make your skin orange or something?

I like Venom. Got a nice aftertaste and a strong energy kick. I relied on those a tad during a four day road trip a few years back.

Additionally, when I read the thread title I thought perhaps it was about alcohal, in which case I'd be a pansy. Hardest stuff I drink is energy drinks, or the special order really-dark-hot-cocoa I adore.

Shouldn't they be banning vodka then, too?

i really cant stand energy drinks. which sucks when the hours you work are 6pm-5am.

Although i do like the pictured, non carbonated redbull.

And i got to try the new Rockstar with vodka in it yesterday. They wasn't to bad.

And i can just barely stand the carbonated redbull to do jagger bombs.

Usually Von Dutch when I can find it but anything will do in a pinch.

The last one looks like it could be confused with car maintenance products.

Nutracaf!

Postby NBPharmacy » 27 Jun 2007, 10:38

I was working a couple months ago, and a coworker and I were really hard up for some coffee. We brewed up a very strong batch, but had no milk or cream. Anyway, we got the bright idea to add some vanilla Ensure (a meal replacement drink) and some sugar. Nutracaf was born! I'm not saying I would choose Ensure over cream, but in a pinch, it's not bad.

While not really an energy drink, vault is god. Its cokes response to dew, and its A)better tasting and B) more rocket fuel like. 1 will give you about 2 solid hours of alertedness.

Yeah Vault's great. I especially like the 132 grams of sugar, 480 calories, and 132 Carbs (44% of your daily) per bottle.

No really, I like them. Vault is what I drink most.

I know I'm kinda "fringe" here, but whenever I'm dragging and need something to get me going again, nothing seems to work quite like one of these:

Man, I have a full blown addiction or something to caffiene. Back during ye olde school daze, for a while I would bum a dollar a day, seeing as how I can't get a job and mom won't give me any money for any thing. So I would get a dollar, buy a MOuntain Dew and I would feel fine for the resst of the day. But after a whle, my supply got cut off. and I FELT IT!!! I could tell something was up. I just felt less energized, tired, couldn't pay attention. I don't know, but it was rough when I didn't get MT. Dew. Maybe I was just plain addicted to MT. Dew, and when I didn't get the magnificent taste of. . . whatever, it ruined the rest of the day.

C.) Surge repackaged (which is o.k., because I loved Surge)

How do you use that in the middle of the work day, or while driving, though?

What IS that Red bull drink in the orange bottle, anyway?

Also, anyone ever had VAMP? They claim it has the maximum amout of caffeine in it allowable by law. I didn't even know that was regulated. We also have something here called "5 hour energy shot" which is this 4oz herbal concoction that supposedly does not have a crash at the end, because it has no sugar and only as much caffein as 8oz of plain coffee.
