So I was at work the other day....

Hello all, been a while since I've posted in, but I thought I might pipe up with an old format from the way back machine:

So I'm at work the other day and a customer can't find her textbooks for next semester. This is because they aren't listed on the shelf anywhere. I explained to her that this meant either that her prof wasn't using textbooks next semester and she would thusly not have to dish out the cash or they forgot to order them in for the students in which case she, and everyone else in the class would be more or less screwed.

It is a testament to the fact that I've been in a committed relationship for ... hey five and a half years tomorrow... that I don't pick up on these things and what they mean until much after, but her response was, "Well, I like being screwed."

I walked off, stopped choked a bit and laughed. Got a wink out of it.

Nice to know one still has it.

CLOSE THE DEAL

On prom night, one of the girls was hitting on me the entire night, asking me about my feelings towards things and even gave me a foot massage after the dance because my feet hurt.

I completely didn't realize she was flirting until the next day when my friend Adam pointed it out.

That's how oblivious I am to stuff like that.

Oh god...

Makes the happenings of my work look pretty normal.

Let's just say that at Perry Ellis, we have a huge wall of suits and still receive questions like "Do you sell suits?" IN THE STORE!!!!

At least you didn't have a swig of cola in your mouth. The burning...

I'm constantly oblivious to women flirting with me and whatnot, have been for years. I just don't register stuff like that really. Interestingly, the most common thing I get in some form or another is, "Are you gay?", always with the same sort of half-masked relief when I tell them I'm not. (Although I then have to explain that I do happen to be taken already.) I've been told, though I don't believe it, that it's not so much my looks but my personality. Personally I think it's the fact I wear my hair long, which is kinda out of fashion these days for manly men. The whole thing even led to a pretty silly practical joke once. A kilt was involved. I'll say no more.

On the other end of the spectrum, whenever I'm doing something with my guy friends and one of them comments on a passing woman or something, I always totally fail to see the person that they are talking about. It's like, "How could you miss legs like that?" and I just kinda scratch my head a tad. I just have this blind spot for things like that. I'm not attracted to physical bodies much at all, but rather personality and such. I can, of course, appreciate an astheticly pleasing body, but I have to be thinking about it. A well endowed woman bending over doesn't draw my eyes anywhere or evoke any real reaction. I just don't notice it as anything other than "Oh, she dropped her wallet" or whatever.

Well as you ALL know, I basically go for personality. Looks do help, but yeah.

Yeah, I'm really surprised that Lavos has such a refined taste in men.

Lavos, if I were gay, and if you weren't a creepy weird pedophilic forum spaz with a heart of gold, I'd be all over you like stink on a monkey.

One day I'll have to tell you guys about my work, hahahahaha.

This place is like a daycare, but instead of milk and cookies we just feed them booze and large amounts of grade A Columbian cocaine, which we snort off the back of dead Japanese hookers.

Woul you be able to get me some jeans from that Abercrombie store? Seeing as you have an employee discount...

I work for a media storage company, I run the shipping department. It's just the mix of people we have working there... I don't think I can begin to describe it. Ben/James have met most of them, so they can back up any claims I might have.
