Colleges in Canada
So I'm going to college next year right. And I've always wanted to go to college in Canada. Get away from the US for a little while and all that jazz. I've tried googling, but I figure you guys are more reliable and could give better information. What are the best colleges to attend in Canada, especially ones with a good IT department.

I'm not entirely sure what I want to go into, but I am pretty sure I want to go into something Science or IT related.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think I got screwed out of UVic. I signed up for Calculus this year, but as I would be the only one taking the class, they decided to drop the course for the year instead. as UVic requires four years of Math, I think I'm boned. Unless they count the years of High school math I did in Middle School, which is less than next to no chance at all.

FIrst off Sieg Reyu you talk about going to university in Canada rather than going to college.
A few Canadian schools US requirements.
UVic:
http://web.uvic.ca/calendar2007/FACS/Un ... /InAp.html
UBC (Vancouver)
https://you.ubc.ca/ubc/vancouver/uscurric.ezc
SFU (Vancouver)
http://students.sfu.ca/admission/requir ... l/usa.html
Waterloo - Canada's MIT (Ontario)
http://www.findoutmore.uwaterloo.ca/adm ... l.php?id=8
Toronto

While calculus is a very useful couse to take if you are going into science or engineering in general you only need the pre calculus for admission for Canadian schools. If you do not have the requirements for what you want to go into apply for something with easy requirements like social science. It is very easy to transfer to a different program as just about all first year classes are open to anyone.
Two of my cousins who are half American and grew up in the states went too and are going too Toronto and seem to enjoy it.

That's a great idea, it would be awesome to go to school in Canada! (from the viewpoint of a US citizen). Who knows, maybe you'll meet a cute Canadian girl and get married and have health insurance, lol.
I would love to go to school in a different country... like Canada or England, or some other English speaking country (since the only other language I'll probably ever learn is Japanese and I'm not in the least bit fluent)

The college I went to was BCIT (http://www.bcit.ca) in Burnaby which is part of greater Vancouver. It is smaller than most universities but I really enjoyed it there.
They have a large electronics department, and I believe they do a good job getting their grads jobs. It's also in a great location as it's nearby two big malls (Brentwood/Metrotown) and Skytrain stations at each, so you can head downtown.
May not be the solution for you, or quite what your looking for, but worth checking out.

You say IT, but what direction are you looking to head in? Are you looking at a technition program/diploma, a computer science degree or a software/computer engineering degree?
Hey Sieg, welcome to my world. I'm in the same field as you're thinking of going into and just out of college. The big difference is that College is the hands on networking kinda stuff where as most universities are all about programming. Depending on where you are in the US and were you're heading into Canada, I might be able to offer some suggestions.

Come to SASKATCHEWAN!
The University of Saskatchewan (http://www.usask.ca) is a pretty good school and we offer lots of classes in Electrical Engineering, Graphical Design and a whole bunch of other Computer related things, probably worth checking out.
Also we're one of the most inexpensive places to live in Canada

It is too dam cold in Saskatchewan to have homeless people.
Saskatchewan lacks trees, the sea and mountains. Therefore I could not live there even if the winter did not spend large amounts of time deep below freezing.
