Yaaay! Unbirthday! :D
Lol, thanksgiving is about paying tribute to the Indians who you bartered land off of isn't it? Something about the day the British settled America officially?

Personally, I prefer "Turkey Day".

What, exactly, am I supposed to be 'thankful' for, and thankful to whom?

The Sun hasn't gone nova unexpectedly. I'm thankful to the Sun God for this, and will sacrifice a hundred captured warriors in his honor.

I mean, what?

Also, we love you, mistyladybug. Pay no attention to the Allen! behind the curtain.

that's why we should be thankful: canucks border hopping to go to condo's, buy beer & support US merchants is always a good thing. :D

I'm thankful for job that I am able support myself with. I'm thankful that I the means of transportation to get myself where I would like to be. I'm thankful for electricity and heat and indoor plumbing. I am thankful that more games are adding support for Linux.

That is just a few examples of what I am thankful for.

I'm thankful to my friends and family for being there to support me on a day to day basis, whenever I need them.

So fuck you, you friendless, jobless losers who celebrate Turkey Day because you've got nothing to be thankful for.

Dunno 'bout you Yanks, but in Canada Thanksgiving is all about being thankful for a plentiful harvest, and thus having another bountiful meal. That's why you celebrate with a big dinner. ^^

Actually that's America's standpoint too. Or at least is has been historically. The people celebrate the harvest and give thanks to God.

Yeah, that's right, I said it. Thanksgiving is a holiday that's about giving thanks to God. Interesting how the U.S. used to be openly religious that way. And nowadays the average person in the U.S. is taught religion is to be kept in the closet with your other secrets.

*sigh*
