I know it's a frequent practice to call something fake, but I think this one just might be. The dog leaves the screen a few times before seeing the dog spinning in the air. It could be a trick.
But maybe I'm just thinking that because I can't imagine why anyone would do that, or film it, or put it up on a website. If they are in action somewhere, this will obviously get back to them. How could it not? It just seems like a foolish thing to do.

I think there's a vast gulf of a difference between throwing a live puppy off a cliff and a dead animal off a cliff. Just the same way there's a big difference between throwing a cute puppy off a cliff and throwing an ugly puppy off a cliff.
(Throwing an ugly puppy is MUCH WORSE. Because they're much rarer.)

I'm pretty sure those are both horrible things.

This is my rifle.
There are many like it, but this one is MINE.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
My rifle without me is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.
I must fire my rifle true.
I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me.
I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will...
My rifle and myself know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire,
the noise of our bursts, nor the smoke we make.
We know it is the hits that count. We will hit...
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life.
Thus, I will learn it as a brother.
I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories,
its sights, and its barrel.
I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage.
I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.
We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God I swear this creed.
My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country.
We are the masters of our enemy.
We are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until there is no enemy, but PEACE.
*sighs*
When your government dehumanizers it's soldiers, what else do you expect?

I neither know nor care whether this was real. However:

I can totally see PETA starting a animal-killer jihad over this.

Have you ever read, "All Quiet on the Western Front?" Dehumanizing soldiers to some extent is necessary, how else do you expect a person to be able to kill someone and remain a relatively stable person? The other option is to consider your opponent less than human, and that is just wrong.
Most murderers have at least some problem mentally speaking, and even soldiers don't get off the hook as easily as you might think. When you go to war you never come back the same, unless of course you've been at "war" all your life.
Consider the option of sending ordinary people, trained in how to use their weapons but untrained, mentally speaking, in ever using them against an opponent. This is one of the reasons why I'm pretty sure I'd never be a good soldier, I can't imagine myself being able to do the things necessary on a day to day basis.
Although... With modern technology, war is fast becoming analogous to playing a video game... and I CAN play video games. Except even in video games when I have the option not to kill even an unimportant character I take it.

ROFL, I just read this, man PETA is a jihad.
