So I was wondering if anyone knows when the new Doctor Who series starts...
Also, has anyone been watching torchwood and what do ya think so far?

!? Wtf? Why the hell is it coming back in 2009? That's almost worthy of a Battlestar Galactica break. (Which is totally rediculous.) I thought it was going to follow the same routine as the previous seasons of Doctor Who, 6 months off, Christmas ep, come back in a 3 months.
Whatever. As long as there's no more inanimate objects coming to life, I'll keep watching. If they keep up with this trend, my fandom for Doctor Who will end, it's all ready on the edge. Mind you, they really do write excellent character development for The Doctor.

Offical word seems to be this: series 4 will air spring this year. We get three specials scattered throughout 2009, while David plays Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company (yes, Cake, theatre). Series 5 starts in 2010.

Yeah, what he said. I've been watching previews on the YouTube, waiting for it.Lord Chrusher wrote:April 5th on the BBC.
As for Torchwood, I strongly recommend starting with Series 2, and ending there. Series 1 was an abomination, in my opinion, and should only be watched for the sake of series two, which was fourteen or fifteen times better.

I thought it was sad, but not really a great episode, because there were a lot of logic jumps and shit that they just didn't bother to explain or anything. Fragments was surprisingly good, for a flashback episode, though Tosh's story was pretty lame.

The new Doctor Who apparently airs in 2009. I don't know why they're waiting so long to air it, I'm pretty sure they've filmed it already, or at least some of it, because there are montages and stuff.
That US only? Because we're getting TV skits saying coming soon now.
