There was a bug in phpbb2 that caused there to be two posts. Since the bottom one was longer, I had to find something to edit the top one with.

Buggy: anything with as many commercial aps as Windows is going to be buggy. Ooh, Macs don't seem to crash with any of the twelve apps most people use on it? Amazing.

Macs have plenty of apps and if only more people had sense and more people programmed for macs.

If by "plenty" you mean .01% of how many Windows have, then yes. They have "plenty" of apps.

All of it.

Notepad is bloat? Seriously? What's MAC got that's less bloated than notepad?

Wraith wrote:Insecure: you realize that there have been more security vulnerabilities discovered in MAC OS's than there have been in Vista in the past year, right?

Because Apple get rid of them.

Yea. Just like Microsoft does when Windows vulnerabilities are discovered. That's pretty standard. The point is that Microsoft hasn't had to do that as often in the past year for Vista as Apple has for MAC.

21 years.

Really? Then could you show me where the DOS core is? Because Windows 1 was just a DOS shell.

Oh, you'd have to know a damn thing about computers to realize that. Why was I thinking you would?

What's the difference between a iMAC and a bronzed piece of excrement, painted white, with a lower-case "i" written on it?

About $1800.00

They don't work when you open windows.

They work for me. Maybe if you had some clue what you were doing.

What does your mom and a PC have in common?

They'll both happily take whatever I want to put in them, and constantly want to show me increasingly dirty things.

A Mac user found a magic lamp with a Genie in it. The Genie said he wasn't as powerfull as other Genies and could only grant one wish. So the Mac User brought out a map of the Middle-East and asked the Genie if he could bring peace to the people there. The Genie said "Ah, you see, its hard to do that. Those people have been fighting for years. Its a religion thing, and about territory. Why as soon as they are teenagers, they go to war. Pick something else." So the Mac User said, "can you make my MAC not suck?" The Genie shook frowned. "Let me take a look at those maps again....."

I was waiting for Wraith to fins this thread, thank you sir you didn't disappoint.

And again I've never had problems with Vista and I've had it since August, besides which who really cares if they stop selling Vista it costs $250 anyways up here and why anyone would ever spend that much money on it....

You can play quite a few games on macs and they run very well. I've heard they run better than on Windows with a lower spec. Which makes sense, doesn't it.

The sims (original) requires 32MB RAM on windows but only 2MB on a mac lol

Well, that you get for dropping $300.00 on a piece of crap from Wal-Mart. Upgrade it, give it a tune-up, and clean off some of the viruses you got from surfing kiddie porn.

I guarantee you that I could build you a system for 2/3 the price of a mac that will FLY. Mine does.

iloatheyou wrote:please. once more. explain to me the superiority windows OS has over Mac OS. ohh yaay gaming...yeah, not for everyone.

One word: versatility. How man different manufacturers can you buy Macs from? One. You want a Mac, you go to Apple. You want to upgrade? You go to apple. You want service? You go to Apple.

I want a computer, I go to Dell. If they don't have exactly what I want, or they decide to jack up the price too much, I can go to Gateway or HP. Or I can build my own. How many Macs have you built? I can choose the mother board, anything from an $80.00 Intel board with built in graphics and sound for a stable, inexpensive workstation, or $300.00 for a suped-up, SLI compliant nforce850i-based board with support for four graphics cards independantly power four displays, or work together to power one (NOTHING will put a dent in your frame rate with that configuration). I can get a cheap Pentium-D or a ridiculously powerful quad-core C2E. Or I can skip Intel all together and get an AMD. I can stuff it all in any one of a thousand cases, with acousting dampening, lighting effects and liquid cooling. If something breaks? Not a problem. I can go to one of half a dozen stores, and come back with a replacement made by any one of a hundred companies and be back up in running in no time. Once it's built, I can use any one of a million applications, I can chose from two dozen products that will do anything you want to do on a MAC, and depending on how much I'm willing to invest, will do it better. And don't even get me started on games!

Orrrr I could go to the MAC store in the mall, resisting the urge to punch-out the pretentious pricks who have all drank Jobs' Kool-Aid and somehow convinced themselves that their inability to figure out how to use a real computer and subsequently bought the shiny plastic luddite toy designed to pander to the technologically incompetent somehow makes them superior, and pick up one of the four types of MAC's they have, then show off just how much of a consumer-whore I am by slapping the apple logo all over me, and wearing "Apple aperal" that might as well just replace the logo with "I joined the cult of Apple and am hoping to some say move my way up to the position of Steve's personal ball-washer."

Thanks anyway, new kid; but my brain still works properly.

Sigh...
I work on computers every once in a while. Vista has is its fuck ups, but every thing does. the UAC it there to people cant fick up the OS as fast. the UAC can but shut off in 5 min, plus a restart. its not the hard.
Wraith is has good point. its A program. if you dont like it, stop bitching! use Mac Or Linux!
Every program is its plus and minus. Mac is easy, and is good for art. Linux is good for programing and hacking. Yes i said hacking. Vista, XP and sever env 2003 is all about working.
most games are for Windows, and Mac. Linux is getting some good game. but best for programing is all.
but all and all its
A CHOICE! so Stop bitching!

Yes, they do quite well in fact. Have you ever seen a properly managed domain? Your elementary school doesn't count.

I would just like to declare my love for wraith where he can argue good points logically and to the issue with no pansy footing about...

By the way about UAC.

You can find that THREE CLICKS from the start menu. THREE I mean it couldn't be any simpler even if a new user to a pc didn't know where to find it someone intelligent like myself could EASILY describe it to them.

I like Vista I have no problem with Vista. I am however getting fed up with this "Vista suck teh balls." Infact with Service Pack 1 released some games that I couldn't play before are magically functioning now without any problems. Even then those games I hardly played but still, I can play them now! Woop. (Mainly Savage 2 it wasn't working before hand but now it is so yeah).
It was really too big:

We'd probably solve the world of problems with the time spent getting angry at are computers.

If Bill Gates donated nothing then he definitely has something wrong with him but he does but it only prevents him being a bad person in that area. It doesn't stop him being bad in others and he doesn't seem to donate a lot from what I can see.

I'm tired so my opinions may lack quality.

I wasn't serious about the hart ripping BTW.

With XP Baldur's Gate runs screwy, always blue screening - I here there's patches, but nothing has really worked (once again, probably because my computer is dying slow, not XP's fault.) If someone could guarantee to me that Vista would let me play the first Baldur's Gate again, straight out of the box with no difficulties, I would officially take back any bad thing I ever said about Windows.

Then again, I may just do that as Wraith's intensity about this issue frightens me a little. I mean, I can't stand creationist bullcrap, but you wouldn't get me taking time out of my day to post very long posts debunking everyone of their 3 pathetically misguided points.

Maybe it's Wraith's avatar... the eyes judge meeeee!
As a History student, the history degree I'll be getting will get me a decent job, right? Guys? Where you going?
