Okay well now that Allen has broken this thread I guess we may all as well go get some late night poutine. Is anywhere even serving it at this time of night? Goddamn Victoria.

Yeah but I'd have to catch a ferry first! And bus. I guess I'm still alot closer then most people on this forum. Then again I don't really like poutine so maybe I'll just make myself some perogies or something. Properly of course.

All of us for doing it at all I assume?

LRR Poutine Night should be an annual celebration.

Poutine and Perogies perhaps?

I would love to hang out with some people from the forums, etc, and go to dinner every now and then, if I could.

Instead I'm forcedt to associate with the crew. /sigh

A Poutine and Perogies night would be awesome.

And by properly at this time of night I mean fried and some light spices. I'm too tired for anything else. I'll be frying in butter only because I'm out of anything else. Otherwise I'd use an oil.

I'll probably have them with sour cream. Though it's possible I'd use mustard of some sort of a smoked salmon cream cheese.

That sucks. I hear some of the crew microwave perogies.

I prefer boiling them before I fry them. Pretty damned good that way. Some sour cream is good, that or HP sauce.

Boiling before frying is a good idea. I cooked mine wayyy too quick when I got off work and ending up having one partly frozen. I'm too lazy too boil them/afraid of mushy-ness.

That's why you fry them after boiling them.

They're good if you just boil them, too, and drain them. Kind of like dumplings, but not quite.

I just find that boiling them brings out more flavour. Not a thing for everybody, obviously, but it's just my favourite way of preparing them.

Nono, I agree. I'm just lazy and if I'm only going to do one it's going to be frying. I'm not sure how much I can do with the cheap pre-cooked perogies I get anyways. I mean there's only so much flavour in bulk perogies.

You could do what Momo does and just throw them in the microwave.

I don't have a microwave!

Really though if I give it ten minutes frying was fine. I think two songs of Rock Band is not enough time for perogies to cook. Especially when one is blitzkrieg bop.
