This is true -- and it's nice to know, speaking as someone with Norman ancestry, that other people appreciate the difference -- in the broad spectrum of things, though, even if it's a bit layman, I think it's fair to say he was French.

but you guys realize that it is a fake google picture. if you go to actual google, you get French victories.

France had plenty of military victories, during the French Revolution. :D
My train of thought is more like a roller coaster that has loop de loops and no safety bars.

I'm fairly sure William the Conqueror was Norwegian/English. If I remember all the studying I did back when I was like...12...the Norrmans (my last name--check it :D ) traipsed over to Normandy from Norway.
