Self-reflection and awareness. All weak agnostics are weak atheists, but not all weak atheists are weak agnostics. If you've never considered the idea of deities, you can't explicitly recognize that you have no position on them. Rocks, which have no self-referential concepts, cannot be weak agnostics; since they lack the concept of deity - if hours of yelling "The power of _____ compels you" at them has taught me anything, it's taught me that - so they are automatically weak atheists.

I believe there's something bigger than us out there; supreme cool things or beings we may never understand. I sure do like to think the cosmo's have unseen awesomeness floating abouts.

I'm agnostic veering towards complete atheism at times. However, as I am also British, it says on the census quite clearly 'Jedi.'

Where is the Jedi option? You discriminating bastard, you, discriminate against the British right to fuck up our government forms!

EDIT: Whoops about consensus... Thanks to you St. Ricktopher for catching and correcting my mistake.

Indeed, the same thing happened in Australia, as my folks and like 99% of of people they talked to put down 'Jedi' on their consensus. Personally, I would have put 'Sith' but that's just me.

On that note actually, I heard that enough people put it down on their consensus here that should people legitimately want to make a jedi religion they had the numbers to do so.

Being a pagan it must be easy to practice necomancy, thread necromancy to be precise.

The death cycle of a thread:

1. 24 hours without a post: The pulse has stopped. Technical death has occured. If you act quickly, it can still be safely resuscitated.

2. One week without posts: the pulse has been stopped too long, the brain isn't getting enough oxygen. You might be able to bring it back with a crash cart, heart massage, etc., but there could be brain damage.

3. One month, no post: the body has just been lowered into the ground. It's beyond medical help, but if you necro it, it might maintain the otward appearance of its original self.

4. Beyond one month, no posts: ZOMBIE THREAD!

This thread ended four months ago, and you bumped it to tell us you're a pagan. Congratulations. Seems it's important we know that. I'll reserve judgment, but that kind of puts me on guard.

I suppose I should take into account that there isn't a whole lot of things that DON'T put me on guard (chronic paranoia FTW!), but I digress...

I don't know if it's "important. I just found the thread and thought it was interesting. Thought I'd contribute.

I was raised Catholic. I became an atheist at age five. I became an agnostic around nineteen. I became a Pagan at twenty-two.

I'm keeping an open mind and don't formally believe in anyone.

I recognize the existence of the Viking gods, but I won't believe in them.

Fuckers gave me food poisoning, the smug bastards...

I'm curious what makes you think the viking gods existed or exists? I found some of the Norse gods interesting and their mythology of Ragnarok.

Personal experience.

By that I mean seeing Odin himself laughing at me while I was puking my guts out.

Bastard gave me food poisoning.

Odin? Really? He's a smug bastard, sure, but I don't think he's the food poisoning type. He's more of the "glory and honour" type.

My wife occasionally pays homage to Njord.

I see my Goddess as a combination of Norse, Native American and an ancient fertility goddess.

I recognize all gods. I just don't worship the vast majority of them.

Really? Those're his sons/brothers/cousins/other male gods besides Loki.
Odin's a tricky sonovabitch, that bastard.
